James Fonu Kpatakpa Sworn In As Deputy National Youth Organizer

The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has finally sworn into office, Mr James Kofi Fonu Kpatakpa, as the validly-elected Deputy National Youth organizer.

The delay of the swearing-in the newly-elected deputy youth organizer was because of a petition filed by one of his contenders, Abigal Elorm Mensah, who challenged the November 2014 results declaration of Mr. Kpatakpa as the winner.

Ms. Elorm Mensah graciously accepted the results after the intervention of the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC).

The National Chairman of the NDC, Mr Kofi Portuphy administered the oath office to the deputy national youth organizer and sworn him into office at a brief ceremony attended by both President John Dramani Mahama, his vice Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur in attendance,

Mr. Portuphy charged the new national youth organizer to use his expertise to ensure that the youth wing of the party remains vibrant and work effectively victory in 2016.

He appealed to all the contestants of to close ranks and work collectively as a team to help realize the dreams of the NDC which is being superintended by President Mahama.

Mr. Kpatakpa, in his acceptance speech, pledged to work hand-in-hand with his colleague executives, which includes the National Youth Organizer, Siddick and Courage Barlon, a.k.a Kobby, the deputy national youth organizer for the revival of the youth wing.
