Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency in the Central Region, Hon. Hawa Koomson has revealed the readiness of the U.S and German government respectively to partner Electoral Commission in acquiring an acceptable voters’ register for the next elections.

According the NPP MP who is among the delegations of her Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo touring Europe to solicit for support to change the current flawed voters’ register, per the calls by her Flagbearer and other Ghanaians, the U.S government has joined Germany with their readiness to partner and help Ghana’s EC acquire a fresh register list before the 2016 elections.

Speaking in an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson implored her elephant fraternity to work on how to police the processes leading to a change of current register to be adopted by the EC if new credible register becomes the option of Madam Charlotte Osei and the commission.

“We need to start preparing ourselves towards matching, playing more smart and vigilant than the NDC. We need to all watch the boundaries of our various polling stations, constituencies and regions against prospective infiltrators,” she urged.

She again trumpeted to her party members that “our eyes and ears should be more ready and prepared than the NDC else we mustn’t complain about any malpractice in the register after it is compiled”.

She said her emphasis is on the fact that the ruling NDC and President Mahama also share the believe that new register is eminent and are preparing seriously towards that change; urging her party folks to as well to prepare ahead of the NDC.
