Many have accused the National Democratic Congress [NDC] government for failing to investigate the circumstances leading to the demise of late president Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
Ever since, it has been very difficult to ask the NDC government and its leader President John Dramani Mahama to institute investigations especially about what happened before president Mills died.
On July 24, 2012, the media reported the death of late President John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills - but what actually caused the untimely demise of the late president continue to remain a secret.
From all speculations being reviewed in the media over the years - no one seems to know what exactly caused the late first gentleman’s demise, and the Mahama-led government is also not willing to tell the nation what happened as some NDC activists have maintained that – there is no need to investigate Atta Mills' death.
But the deputy communications director of the opposition Pew patriotic Party [NPP], Yaw Adomako Baafi seems to know who killed the former president.
Speaking on Madina-based OMAN FM, Adomako Baafi has strongly alleged that – President Mahama masterminded President Mills' death - This he said has brought a “curse” on his presidency and Ghanaians at large.
His comment comes after the President has expressed worry in NPP’s infights which have claimed some lives over the months.
Adomako Baafi who seems unhappy of the president to tagged the NPP as ‘political gangsters’ – profusely accused him of killing Late President Mills.
“President Mahama killed late Prof Mills, we must investigate his (Prof Mills) death. We don’t have killers in the NPP. The NPP has never killed people in a firing squad. We [NPP] have not murdered a sitting president. President Mahama killed Prof Mills. I am emphatically saying this with the authority of God …he [Mahama] killed Mills...time will tell,” he alleged.
“He [president Mahama] must confess and ask for forgiveness or anything he touches will be a failure. He killed the man [Prof Mills],” he added.
