Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ade Coker has admonished members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stop blaming President John Mahama over Monday's raid at the party's headquarters.
Some armed personnel in military apparel raided the NPP headquarters Monday dawn ransacking the offices of the party.
Reasons for the recent action at the headquarters remain sketchy but some people have already started pointing accusing fingers at the party's suspended National Chairman Paul Afoko.
Some other functionaries in the NPP also blamed President John Mahama for the raid stressing that he, as the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, failed to execute his official duties.
Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Ade Coker asked the NPP to blame the owners of the party for the raid.
Implicitly referring to the suspended National Chairman of the party Paul Afoko and his cohorts, Ade Coker stated emphatically that "the owners have taken over. They should go and question Afoko, and leave President Mahama alone.”
