The Nsawam/Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly has elected Mr. Isaac Kwadwo Buabeng, a professional teacher, as its Presiding Member (PM).
He polled 37 votes out of the 42 cast in an election supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC).
This came after his only other challenger, Nana Asantewaa Afrifa, had withdrawn her nomination.
Mr. Buabeng thanked the assembly and pledged to work with everybody to make things happen.
He reminded the members about the need for unity, cooperation and team work to achieve set targets.
The assembly would convene on January 3, to attempt for the second time to confirm the nomination of Mr. Ben Ohene Ayeh, as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
