The opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] is very optimistic of winning the November 7 presidential polls despite questions raised on the voters register.
The partys Communications Director, Nana Akomea says his party would want to win the polls in a free and fair election.
He continued with his partys stance that they want a credible register for this years elections according to him, their call for a register that is reliable and credible does not reside on the partys fortunes but a matter of principle.
If we want to win elections, we wont do that in a fraudulent way. The fact that we want to win the elections doesnt mean that if the register is not credible we should keep quiet. We are very sure of winning the election but things must be done in a right way, he said in an interview onNEAT FMs morning show 'Ghana Montie'
Nana Akomea noted that, there is no doubt that the voters register is hopelessly bloated and therefore, not fit for the purpose of an election.
