Deputy Minister of Communications Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, in an interview with Paul Adom Okyere on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana talk show revealed that President Mahama is fulfilling the Manifesto of the NDC through his Accounting to the People’s Tour.
Speaking on the Accounting to the People’s Tour and the current state of Ghana’s Economy, Dr Omane Boamah said that one will be amazed at the rate at which some problems faced by the people has been solved during President Mahama’s Accounting to the People’s Tour and gave the premix fuel challenge at Axim as an example.
“The harshest critics of President Mahama can attest to the fact that electricity issues in the country ‘dumsor’ has amazingly improved with the Government adding over 800mw to the power stock ” He said.
He the again added that government is building redundancy to take care of emergency situations. “We are diversifying sources of power which includes use of solar and biomass” he noted.

Touching on economic issues, Dr Omane Boamah said that Prez Mahama is sincere enough to admit our economy is facing challenges therefore diagnosing the challenges and prescribing solutions some of which are structural transformation which means diversification and value addition.
Dr. Omane Boamah hinted that Cocobod is distributing 110million high yielding and early maturing cocoa seedlings to farmers for free and also taking care of aging cocoa trees.
Using the opportunity to speak on job creation by the government, Mr Adom Okyere the host of the talk show interrupted by saying he knew Dr Omane Boamah has a list on direct and indirect jobs created by the current government so when allowed to continue, the show may never come to an end. This clearly shows the JM led Administration is really at its best in helping this nation
