The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) will today, Friday June 10, mark the 24th anniversary of the formation of the party.
President John Mahama, who is the third president from the party’s fold since the beginning of the fourth republic after Jerry John Rawlings and John Evans Atta Mills, is expected to join NDC faithful at the party headquarters in Adabraka to mark the occasion.
Leading members of the party including Founder Jerry John Rawlings, Members of Parliament, and past and present national executives are expected to be in attendance.
The NDC was founded by Jerry John Rawlings, who was military ruler from 1981 to 1993 and democratically elected president from 1993 to 2001.
