Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, the 2016 Presidential candidate for the Progressive People's Party says he will provide economics independence for the people when voted into power.

"I am already providing economic independence for the people in terms of job creation and I will continue when given the mandate, " he said.

Dr Nduom was speaking at the party's third national convention on the theme: "Jobs for Every Ghanaian through competent and incorruptible leadership" in Accra.

The convention was used to outdoor the party's presidential and parliamentary candidates from all over the country.

He said the PPP, when voted into power would build a strong foundation on which Ghanaians would rely for development.

The Presidential candidate said the Party was ever ready to practice an all inclusive government, irrespective of the backgrounds of the candidates.

He said Ghanaians desire better than what they were getting now from the current government and it was the PPP under his tenure that relief would come.

"Don't waste your vote on promise makers but vote for people, who can deliver, even when they don't promise," he added.

He acknowledged the contributions of the two major political parties for their efforts to develop the nation but said it was time of the PPP to take over.

He said the PPP seeks the opportunity to implement an efficient agenda for accelerated change that was built on incorruptible leadership, education, health-care and job creation.

The flagbearer said the party would work to change portions of the constitution to abolish the provisions that allowed Ministers of State to also serve as Members of Parliament.

Dr Nduom also known as 'Edwumawura' told the crowd that the PPP government would reform and strengthen state institutions and agencies to be able to serve objectively and independently.

He said under his tenure of office, the PPP government would ensure that Ghanaians elect their own Metropolitian Municipal District Chief Executives.
