Some leading members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are asking the Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamud Bawumia, to retrace his political roots and return to the NDC. The campaign launch of the NDC parliamentary nominee for Walewale Constituency, Abdallah Abubakar, was agog with messages either challenging Dr. Bawumia on his critique of the economy or urging him to join the NDC.
Thousands of NDC supporters thronged the Walewale Football Park for the campaign launch. Abdallah Abubakar, addressing the frenzy crowd, called on electorates to consider the enormous developmental projects in voting during the December general elections. He is confident the NDC will win votes for both the Parliamentary and Presidential race in the Walawale constituency.
Mr. Abubakar claims his performance as Northern Region Minister in the past six months is better than the eight years of incumbent Member of Parliament, Dr Sagre Bambangi. “Compare my six months in office to the eight years of Dr Sagre Bambangi, my six months is witnessing the construction of roads, the connecting of communities unto the national grid and providing of potable drinking water to some communities. “This year’s election isn’t about talks but about work and I have proven to you within these few months that I can deliver.
We are taking back our seat, and winning the presidential votes for President John Dramani Mahama,” he said. Several ministers of state and NDC stalwarts, who took to the campaign platform, focused their messages on Dr. Mahamudu Bamumia, Nana Addo’s running mate and a former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana. Minister for Roads and Highways and the Member of Parliament for the Tamale Central Constituency, Inusah Fuseini, charged Dr. Bamumia to trace his political roots. “NPP is not his home, he doesn’t belong to NPP. He should go back and check the records, from 1992 to 2000.
There’s no political party in Ghana that insulted his father more than the NPP, he was called a political prostitute, he was called a foreigner, they said he didn’t deserve any political appointment.” The Northern Regional Campaign Coordinator Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna also tagged the economist as being ungrateful to the National Democratic Congress. He argues, “Dr Bawumia’s bills while in school was paid by the National Democratic Congress and he’s a beneficiary of the good will of the party thus we are waiting and praying he realizes he’s with the wrong political party”. National Campaign Coordinator of the NDC, Kofi Adams, added his voice to the call on Dr Bawumia to come back to where he belongs, adding “the New Patriotic Party will never win and it is better for him to join us.
National Democratic Congress is an umbrella and we welcome everybody on board same way we welcomed Abdallah Abubakari from the PNC”. He also encouraged party supporters to intensify the door-to-door campaign to canvass votes for the party. The Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Murtala Mohammed, addressing supporters did not mince words when he told Dr Bawumia that “economic figures mean nothing to electorates in Walewale, GDP growth has done ABC is useless to electorates. What is important for the electorates is that they were without power, potable drinking water, good roads, essential facilities but now they have”.

I think you better stay in Lagos and not return to Gh becos JM is a total mess here. better know that JM is going down this time. The corruption is too much.
Do you think about Ghana first or NDC or NPP? If you sincerely say Ghana, why not look beyond NDC and NPP? If indeed it is Ghana first, I am sure you would like to look beyond the two parties for the following reasons:- 1. A 3rd Political Force will bring a more healthy parliamentary debate as each tries to outdo the other. Multi-party democracy then becomes meaningful. 2. A more competitive presidential and parliamentary election will make the winner sit up for fear of losing the next election which will take a longer time for them to be considered again. 3. "Sitting up" means reducing corruption, arrogance, political violence and abusive language and generally treating the Ghanaian with respect. 4. Ghanaians will benefit tremendously because politicians will then become humble, more understanding and tolerant. The concerns of the electorate will be taken seriously. 5. Think Ghana. Think about your children and their children's children and vote in a third political force. Nothing should discourage you. No vote is a waste unless it cannot be counted.
Start mentioning the more brilliant people in NDC than Bawumia. You are rather the liability and waste to ur family cos they wasted money on u for nothing cos they now see nothing good in u. Jonathan go back and read well or maybe as Bawumia said u guys read but lacks understanding and that is what is affecting u. If u read well the NDC's are saying cos NPP's insulted Bawumia's dad he shouldn't join NPP, is it by false to join the party ur dad belong to go and read what Bawumia's dad did to receive those insults. Abdallah u are just a common cheap northner who is into tribalism and nothing else so u only belong to NDC cos ur forefathers were with them which means u cant think or reason for urself like ur president. NDC only regrets for not choosing Bawumia as their running mate over Amissah Arthur. Jonathan read and ask a 2year old to explain well to u before u star talking cheap here
I also wonder why NDC gives no better message than JM toaso and mahama paper. You people are just talking like u lack common sense, If u have a fund to pay peoples school fee in NDC then u are wicked for not paying for ur supporters. It was states money that was used to pay his fees just as it was used to pay JM's fees and not money NDC so cos of that u people don't want him to support any party. Abxoba or whatever tell ur people to stop fighting over bawumia to be part of their incompetence governance. No wonder u belong to NDC cos u all lack common S
I WONDER WHY N.P.P GIVES NO BETTER MESSAGE THAN JUST SAYING CHANGE,WHAT TRACK RECORD DID U LIVE BEHIND ONLY HPPC,KUFFOUR SENT GHANA TO HPPC AND AKUFFO ADDO'S FATHER SABOTAGED DR.KWAME NKRUMAH AND LEAD TO HIS DOWNFALL,STRUGGLED TO BE A BY FORCE PRESIDENT BUT COULDN'T WIN EVEN PRIMARIES SO WAS A MADE JUST A CEREMONIAL PRESIDENT FOR A MONTH WHEN THE PRESIDENT TRAVELED.IS IT BY FORCE TO BE A PRESIDENT EVEN FOOTBALL WHEN YOU REACHES CERTAIN AGE LIMIT YOU RETIRE WHY STILL NANA WANT TO PLAY FIRST DIVISION WHILST HE ISN'T QUALIFIED FOR THIRD DIVISION.LOSERS FOREVER.JM TOASO.
VERY FUNNY PARTY, NDC . THEY KNOW VERY WELL THE THEIR OF POWER IN GOV'T HAS COME. REJECT CORRUPT NDC PARTY AND BRIBES TAKER LEADER JOHN MAHAMA.
@Jonathan Lagos, It is rather your mother and father that are old retards you utter disgraceful and worthless human being. Massa accept the fact that #ChangeIsComing! You literally do not have any good thing to add to these discussions except for ***barred word*** attacks on Nana. it just shows how much of a ***barred word*** ***barred word*** you are.
The STATE paid his fees not NDC. Even if it was done during NDC rule it was state funds not party funds. No party in Ghana has funds to sponsor education for even its officers. Members don't dues and parties don't have income generating activities. Ghanaians need serious political education to be able to sift the truth from untruth. Government is different from the state and party different from the government. We will always have governments and the state whether parties exist or not.
So? The NDC paid his fees so he can't join a political party of his choice? Please talk about realistic stuff and not issues of this kind
