The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has indicated that there are clear indications the party will win the December 7 general elections.
He, however, urged the party’s supporters not to be complacent but work hard to ensure resounding victory.
“The wind of change is blowing everywhere we go. But I beg you, nobody should think that it is a done deal. We need everybody to vote. Go in your numbers to vote. If you want change, you have to vote for the NPP,” he entreated.
The NPP leader was addressing a mammoth Western Regional rally in Sekondi on Sunday ahead of the polls. It was attended by thousands of party supporters and sympathizers.
Nana Addo told the supporters that the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) had led the country into economic difficulties that had made the cost of living unbearable.
According to him, the NPP is the best political grouping that can deliver Ghana from all the hardships caused by the Mahama-led administration.
Nana Akufo-Addo assured Ghanaians that he would revive the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), which has collapsed under the Mahama government, when given the nod.
According to him, the previous NPP government, led by President John Agyekum Kufuor, introduced the NHIS to replace the inhumane Cash and Carry system, adding that over the last eight years, the government has collapsed the scheme.
Nana indicated that if good health is basic to the survival of citizens, then good education is also critical to Ghana’s development – the reason why he proposed the Free Senior High School policy.
“I am coming to revive and truly implement the Free SHS policy for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he assured.
He reiterated his pledge to reintroduce the teacher and nursing trainee allowances, which had been scrapped by the Mahama administration.
“President Kufuor did not benefit from oil revenue and yet was able to pay the allowances. President Mahama, with oil, has canceled the allowances. I am going to restore them,” he said, much to the delight of the gathering.
He promised those in the Western Region that the next NPP government would move the headquarters of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) to the region as part of efforts to make the region an oil hub in the sub-region.
Alan Cash
Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen (aka Alan Cash), a leading member of the NPP, accused the Mahama administration of collapsing businesses with its bad policies.
He also lambasted the government for failing woefully to create jobs for the unemployed youth over the past eight years.
Alan Cash predicted a massive victory for Nana Akufo-Addo on December 7, saying that an NPP government would create jobs in excess.
He urged the unemployed people in the country to rally behind the party and its flag bearer so that they would win the polls and create jobs for them.
Ken Cautions
The Member of Parliament for Assin Central in the Central Region, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, cautioned all NPP polling agents not to attempt collecting monies from NDC activists on the election day because that would enable the ruling party rig the elections.
He alleged that the NDC had planned to bribe polling agents of the NPP with money to allow them change some of the figures at the polling stations adding, “We will cater for our polling agents but if you are found to have taken monies from the NDC, we will deal with you.”

THE WIND OF CHANGE MAY BLOW BUT THE RAIN OF CHANGE MAY NEVER FALL.
Change to what? Change can be disastrous so which change are you talking about. We are aware of the change you brought to the party after Kufuor. Is that the kind of change?
Keep tickling yourself. You will cry blood
WHAT A BOMBSHELL! IN ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY LIKE BRITAIN OR USA, THE POLICE WILL TAKE THIS MATTER SERIOUSLY, INVESTIGATE AND PROSECUTE BARAWO MAHAMA, IBRAHIM MAHAMA AND HIS GANG OF JULOR KPAKPE AND PUT THEM IN PRISON. SORRY TO SAY HERE IN GHANA THIS CASE WILL DIE BECOS THE IGP IS NDC, ATTORNEY GENERAL IS NDC, ARMY COMMANDER IS NDC ,BNI IS NDC, EVERY GOVT INSTITUTION THAT CAN ARREST AND PROSECUTE THIS BRIBERY CASE IS NDC. ONE THING WE CAN DO AS CITIZENS OF GHANA IS TO VOTE OUT BARAWO MAHAMA, HIS BROTHER IBRAHIM AND THEIR GANG OF NDC JULOR KPAKPE OUT IN DECEMBER 2016. INSHA ALLAH!!!
If you love Mother Ghana, you will pray for change to stop incompetence, mismanagement, corruption, insults, deceit, murders, judgement debt payment, guinea fowl escapes so that together we can build a prosperous and law-abiding Ghana.
PEACE FM CAN CONTINUE TO MUFFLE MAHAMAH'S VOICE, HE WILL STILL WIN HANDS DOWN. UTV CAN CONTINUE TO GIVE MORE COVERAGE AND MORE AIR TIME DURING THEIR 6:30 P.M. NEWS BROADCAST - AKUFO ADDO WILL SPEAK ABOUT TEN MINUTES, LATER LIARMIA WILL BE GIVEN ANOTHER TEN MINUTES MEANWHILE BOTH AKUFO ADDO AND LIARMIA ARE ON THE SAME CAMPAIGN PLATFORM, STILL MAHAMAH WILL WIN. JOYFM, CITI FM, ADOM TV, ASEMPA FM, AND OTHER RADIO AND FM TV STATIONS WHO CAMPAIGNED AGAINST MAHAMAH AND NDC IN 2012 AND DOING SAME AGAIN IN 2016 WILL SLEEP EARLY ON 9TH DECEMBER.
In fact, Nana Addo is looking younger and younger as he goes through the campaign trips in the country. His voice sounds healthier and clearer showing enough energy and potential to rule this country. On the contrary the supposed young man, the President looks more tired than ever and his voice is about dying off and you wonder if really he is the one addressing his supporters. Not long ago this supposed young man boasted that he used only forty days to win the presidency. What has changed now, that he is using two to three years campaigning, sod-cutting and commissioning projects and he still cannot seat for a moment of rest with even a few days to the polls. So, you see, the battle the Lord's.
There is no basis to challenge what Nana is saying. At least he has been to all regions and know what he is saying. He has campaigned two times in the past and he has seen the difference this year. You may be the only one in the country who does not feel the wind of change. Even your own leader Mahama and the EC chair know change is imminent. Ghanaians are praying for change to stop incompetence, mismanagement, corruption, insults, deceit, murders, judgement debt payment, guinea fowl escapes so that together we can build a prosperous and law-abiding Ghana. Long live Nana, Long live NPP, and long live Ghana. CHANGE IS WHAT WE PRAY FOR
