After polling an impressive win at the NPP primaries where he beat the incumbent by 100 votes in a fiercely contested election of 6 candidates, Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie the chairman of the pro-opposition pressure group; Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) has secured a seat in parliament.
He pulled 26,574 votes that represent 83.4% of ballot cast - the highest record since 1992 in the constituency.
His constituency also saw NPP’s leader, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo amassing an ineradicable vote cast to beat incumbent, President John Dramani Manama.
Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye a 38 years old hospital owner and health economist with economic policy background adds to the list of young parliamentarians in the next parliament.
