Ghana's former High Commissioner to India, Lawyer Sam Pee Yalley, has described as a "cock and bull" story, the claim that over 200 state vehicles are missing.
“No single vehicle is missing…what is this cock and bull story that 200 and something vehicles are missing; how… How come we cannot trace cars used by immediate past president when even cars used by Kwame Nkrumah are parked in the state house? It is a joke” he said.
The Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, earlier this week revealed that there are over 200 cars unaccounted for at the Flagstaff House’s vehicle pool following the change in government on January 7, 2017.
He said this was detected after the assessment of five car models in the car pool inventory of the Flagstaff House.
“Just these five models account for 208 vehicles which we strangely cannot find,” Mr. Arhin said speaking to the media.
However, contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji, Sam Pee Yalley was emphatic that 'no car is missing' and that the Nana Addo-led administration is using the claim to create disaffection for the previous administration.
According to him, the issue is creating a bad impression for the country in the international world; adding what should have been done was to call those responsible to investigate the whereabouts of those cars instead of taking it to the media.
“…and you think you are doing politics? It is rather tarnishing our image in the international world…these are all vote gimmicks; stop it. Arhin (Eugene Arhin) stop that joke; this country is not for small boys and girls; this country is a matured country stop that joke….complaining that those cars are missing shows your own incompetence. For me…no one single car has been missing or stolen; the cars are there” he stated.

I wonder if this Yalley man has brains. I listerned to him on radio Rwanda. As a lawyer as he calls himself he could have interogated the matter further and draw valid conclusions than coming out ***barred word*** to say it was a cock-and-a-bull story. Learn to grow yALLEY
I wish I am in Accra to slap this fuuuuuulish man called Sam P Yele. The NDC is giving too many contradictory statements and figures that is why we believe that something is wrong with the cars. Thieeeves.
If this NPP government will act so slow and display this lukewarm attitude then next four years we will vote them out.Koku Anyidoho and Sam Pee Yalley say the cars are there ,so why don't you let the BNI invite them to come and show the government where the cars are?. This is so simply, you are looking for your missing items and some people say they are not missing that means they know where they are. Most of the cars will very soon cross the border and that it is the end of it.
Mr Sam George has said it all, so why don't you go to him for explanation? This procedure whereby state cars are sold to government officials at a very reduced price must be stopped. If these greedy officials want cars, they can come to Europe and buy and pay custom duty.Because they are not more important other workers like teachers, nurses and others. Ghanaians awake and let us fight for equal rights.
Your Excellency, have you listened to Sam George? You presented a list of vehicles to the Presidency and went ahead and sold them out so where are the cars?

My worry is over Kwame Sefa Kayi's behaviour towards this car issue. The last time I heard him saying that Abroyen should be arrested. He also stated he wishes the task force come to his house to take his car. My question to him is does he has some of the cars in his possession. What roobbishhhh. Thieeeeee.f and nation wreeeeecker. Two face man, chopping from both Ndc And npp. Nana Addo should be very careful with this greeeedy guy.
