A Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, says it is unfortunate for Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to do politics on Easter Monday.
According to Mr Anyidoho, by his action, Dr Bawumia has disturbed Christians in solemnly observing the day after Jesus Christ’s resurrection as such.
The Vice President had earlier in the day addressed a town hall meeting to mark 100 days of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government, which he is a chief part of. The meeting was put together by Accra-based Joy FM.
Speaking on TV3’s News 360 in an effort to have him respond to some of the issues – mainly achievements – mentioned by the Vice President, the former presidential spokesperson rather questioned why the economist will go on a “skewed” platform to do politics.
The day was wrong, Mr Anyidoho, insisted and the media house is skewed. He wondered why Dr Bawumia would not even wait until the next day, which is a working day, to do politics.
The NDC Deputy General Secretary descended heavily on the 100-day performance of the government, describing the period as having been used to nurture terrorists.
He explained that pro-New Patriotic Party vigilante groups such as Delta Force and Invisible Forces have been fed by the current government. Little wonder their nation-wrecking actions of late, he noted.
Meanwhile, Dr Bawumia in his remarks at the Joy FM event stated that he didn’t want to attend the event.
He said he had wondered what might have influenced him to accept the invitation in the first place.
The event marked exactly 100 days since Dr Bawumia was sworn in as Vice President of Ghana.

THERE THEY GO. IF NOT TRIBALISM, IT IS RELIGION. MAHAMA AS A PRESIDENT COULD SAY THE PEOPLE OF THE NORTH SHOULD VOTE FOR HIM BECAUSE HE IS ONE OF THEM. THIS KOKO GUY ALONE IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN INVINCIBLE AND DELTA FORCES PUT TOGETHER. BUT HIS PARTY IS FULLY BEHIND AND SUPPORTIVE OF HIS DIVISIVE UTTERANCES WHICH CAUSED THEIR UNPRECEDENTED ELECTORAL DEFEAT AND HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BRING TROUBLE IN THIS COUNTRY. HIS BEHAVIOUR IS GETTING WORRYING BY THE DAY.
PEACEFM ON LINE. KINDLY GO BACK SEVERAL YEARS AND READ COMMENTS FROM YOUR READERS REGARDING THIS F**L. YOU WILL REALIZE THAT MORE THAN MAJORITY OF YOUR READERS DON'T LIKE THE COMMENTS BY THIS SOMETHING CALLED KOKU ......... WHY CAN'T YOU SIMPLY BLACK OUT HIS COMMENTS ON SOCIAL=POLITICAL ISSUES TO SENSITIZE YOUR PORTAL. THINK ABOUT THIS.
THE NDC IS AN ***barred word*** JEALOUS NEFARIOUS BUNCH OF BODY.ITS IN THEIR BLOOD STREAM.THEY ARE ENEMIES OF PROGRESS.NO MATTER WHAT NPP ARCHIEVE THE NDC WILL NEVER APPRECIATE IT.IF THEY COME BACK TO POWER THEY WILL RUIN EVERYTHING THAT IS WHO THEY ARE.
You see NDC has a Problem and that is their misconception of underrating the intelligence of Ghanaians and sillily live in ***barred word*** paradise to believe that they have made a point. Anyidoho is despirately playing the Christian or Religious Card instead of making informed opinion about Dr Bawumia's 100 days of Government archievements. This act is to me disingenuous and insulting to the intelligence of good People of Ghana.I hope and pray for the sake of our Democracy that NDC would come down from the Propaganda hysteria to realize that this type of politicking caused their abysmal performace in 2016-election.The lean horse metaphor doesn't apply here. I think it is rather intellectual deficiency and lack of good Leadership is the cause.
Koku is there a day when government comes to a standstill. John Mahama was going to churches, synods and conferences and mosques to tell people about NDC activities. For NDC government it is alright For NPP it is wrong.
I don't blame the him. I blame the news casters for calling such a character for his views.
Koku have you forgotten that coincidentally Nana's 100 days fell on Easter Monday. You should know this simple logic. Aaba. Why NDC criticize so blindly rather than punching holes see where you are sending the argument. No wonder you lost the elections greatly
Yesterday, monday 17,2017 i watched tv3 interview Kokuun via phone; The news presenter asked him his take on the 103 performance of the npp. The Kokuun rather talked abt christian holiday, multimedia being the host and the visibly you see the news presenter getting irritated by koku's stand. Then the interview caved-in more when the host asked the kokuuun whether he had no competent answer to the issue. What was rather disturbing was how the kokuuun was referring to the character of attah mills as if mahama if some one asked him to compare attah mills to mahama.
Massa; this Ewe/Ayigbe sheet master is completely INSANE and needs to visit Dr Osei at the menta hopital in Accra -Pronto ; why is NDC devoid of deep thinkers and astute politicians ; what he should get into his unshaped ewe head is that EASTER is not CHRISTMAS neither is CHRISTMAS EASTER DAY ; each has a purpose to serve besides which part of the constitution says politics is barred on easter ior christmas days ; if he is a smart politician he should known that this was the time for the NDC to come out with the flaws in Nana Addos government ; DR Bawumia is a shred politician; he knew the EASTER holidays was the time to send the government propaganda to the people because the people are relxed and not thinking about day to day business activities ; who has time to listen to politicians when they are busy in the office or selling on the market ; to me the NDC as a party is BUSTED; WEAK and devoid of political talent !!!!; they do not have the right politicians people to help them tackle the NPP; KOKU PLEASE JUST KEEP YOUR TOXIC MOUTH SHUT AND IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY ; WHAT HAS EASTER GOT TO DO WITH POLITICS IN GHANA !!!!!!
First of Dr.Bawumiah is a Muslim and secondly I didn't know one could not possibly do politics on Easter . Where's the logic here? I mean if you want to attack somebody, you may have to consider where they belongs and their beliefs in terms of religion else it's a no brainer at any given time. Koku must be taken off air because he doesn't have what it takes to constructively criticize the incumbent.
