The government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by President Nana Akufo-Addo has proven to be “inhumane”, former CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Sylvester Mensah has said.
Addressing cadres of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as Guest Speaker at the National Cadres Conference held on Tuesday 16 May 2017 at the Jefkings Hotel on the Dodowa Road ahead of the commemoration of the 38th anniversary of the June 4 uprising, Mr Mensah said it was important cadres of the party joined forces to snatch power from the NPP in the 2020 elections.
He spoke on the topic, ‘Commemorating June 4 – Integrating Cadres Into The NDC, A Cadres Perspective’.
“Comrades and friends,” he noted, “irrespective of our individual or collective circumstances, the demands of the time impose on us a historical responsibility to close our ranks and unite like never before with all who believe and share in the desire to wrest political power from the inhumane NPP government currently dismissing properly appointed civil and public servants to create space for employing unemployed foot soldiers of the NPP.”
“Comrades, this is not only shameful but significantly elicits a needless cycle of equal or greater reprisals after each successive government going forward. A bad political culture that our dear late [President] Professor [John] Mill sought to nib in the bud with the concept of ‘Father For All’ – but no more! Perhaps this can be a subject matter for another discussion,” the former La Dadekotopon lawmaker said.

A waala proverb says a boy who washes his hands well eats with elders.... Good start sir...
Sly you are not out of the woods yet. Mahama placed BNI survilliance over your head 24/7 for the ***barred word*** that occurred at NHIS under your watch up to and including going to church. It was so embarassing to you, your friends and family. What say you Sly Mensah? Given the harm and likely jail term you might face in the near future' are you better off under Mahama then or you are better off now for the fresh air you are breathing now pending you arrest, trial and possible jail term? This is not about reprisals, its accounting for your loot and stewardship, Sly Mensah.
oh, keep quiet. if people are talking you too you are talking. ***barred word*** man
