The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito has questioned President Akufo-Addo on why he has not retrieved the GH¢51.2 million judgement debt from businessman Alfred Woyome as promised if he claims there is no money in the state coffers.
It would be recalled that President Nana Addo addressing the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) in a meeting (amidst rumours of strike from the various workers Union) told them to be patient as his government will address all their grievances .
Nana Addo explained that, his government's inability to settle its obligations to them(UTAG) is due to the fact that the past government misappropriated the finances of the state.
Deliberating on his view in connection with Nana Addo's claims, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah reiterated in an interview with Akwasi Boateng, host of 'Maakye' on Accra-based Hot93.9fm that, he does not see the reason why the President has still not retrieved the state's money from Woyome as he promised in order to use it to manage the finances of the state:
"When he was in opposition, he said the economy was in a bad state and even said during his campaign tour that he will revive the country's economy. And after voting for him, he comes to give us the excuse that the economy is in a bad state so he can't pay government workers, then he should fulfill his promise to retrieve the judgement debt from Woyome to solve the problems." Asiedu Nketia stated passionately to Akwasi Boateng.
He emphasized that, "the President who was then Flagbearer of the NPP was aware that the economy was in a bad state but he still went ahead to make big promises. He went on to announce to Ghanaians on his campaign tours that the state's economy had crumbled. So if he knew all this, what money was he planning on using to fulfill all those promises",
Asiedu Nketia concluded that,"When the NDC was in power, the NPP was always in support when workers went on strike. The President should do the job for which he was voted for and stop the excuses."

so why are we so comfortable insulting people when the ask of the same thing we are asked of them. why have we become puppets of some politicians instead of demanding accountability from them. it will not serve any purpose if we pamper our child when he goes wrong instead of correcting him or her. instead we turn our guns on others. lets not forget the objective and discerning minds are watching. we voted for a change, not a chance to cry over spilt milk
Mr. Nkestia DO NOT worry now the money will by all means retrieved together with your Bui Dam illegal money you had. Governance is not like individual affairs, LAWS has to be put in place BEFORE using that process to RETRIEVE the monies. MARK IT ON THE WALL VERY SOON WHEN THE PROCESS START YOU THE SAME NKETSIA WILL SAY THE GOVERNMENT IS WITCH HUNTING NDC FORMER APPOINTEES.
If you say the economy is broken "fix it" boomerang..... Retrieve as promised.....Talk is cheap, isn't it?????Lie.rs lie.rs
EVEN IF ASIEDU IS TELL THE PRESIDENT TO COLLECT THE MONEY WHAT ARE THEY WAIT FOR. SOME OF US WE VOTED FOR THE NPP BECAUSE OF THESE AND WE MORE INTERESTED IN THIS WOYOME THAN ONE DISTRICT ONE FACTORY. IF A MAN WHO SUPPLY GHANA PURE WATER BLOCKS AT COST GH50 IS TELL THE PRESIDENT AND ITS SEEM THEY HAVE WHOLE TIME IN THE WORLD TO THEIR SIDE
I have not seen any single elderly politician in this country whose head is not properly seated on the neck like this mosquito. I don't even see why he continuous to enjoy the publicity given him. To me, this Kwaseabi nti general secretary should be ignored to sensitize our political discuss. If he is maintained by the party, mark it that the party will lose miserably again because he makes more enemies for the party than sympathizers through his caustic and pure us*less utterances.
Do you now accept the rots you and your incompetent gov't created for Ghana ?? By the way, which party and gov't gave that monies to this cr00kish Ndc financier?? Your party had been in gov't for 8yrs and you could not retrviewed this monies from that your Ndc Woyome. Nonsinss talk from a nonsinss man.
ASIEDU NKETIA, YOU ARE VERY LUCKY THAT WE HAVE A GOD-FEARING PRESIDENT. IF WE WERE TO HAVE A PRESIDENT LIKE YOUR FOUNDER YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN SHOT BY NOW!!! BUT YOU HAVE INSPIRED SOME OF US TO START A CAMPAIGN TO HAVE YOU NDC KROOKS AND VAAAGABOOND AND CRIIIMINAAALS PERSECUTED TILL MOST OF YOU COMMIT SUICIDE!!! NKKKAAAASEEAFUO!!!
Maxwsll and Kanawu. Try as much as possible to write in small letters. Caps are usually for headings and emphasis. Its very difficult for most people including me to read in caps. Don't be offended. Tks
Massa; for me Asiedu Nketia has a point on this occaision because Woyome's case has been dragging on for too long but it seems there are always some twist and turns in the matter anytime there is a move to confront this Woyome to retrive the stolen monies ;to me although Woyome have filed a case overseas the decsion of such tribunal does not affect the collection of the stolen cash from Woyome in Ghana ; the AG should initiate some serious legal moves to retrieve the stolen cash by seizing his assets for the state; perhaps is it the case that some powerful people in the NPP are also involved in the Woyome ***barred word*** !!!!! ; it is just like this evil 'galamasey' business ; today we all know there are unseen BIG hands involved in this wicked business to pollute the rivers of Ghana ; THE AG SHOULD INITIATE MOVES TO GET THE STOLEN MONIES FROM WOYOME - PRONTO ;PLEASE NANA ADDO NO MORE MOUTH MOUTH POLITICS AGAIN !!!WE NEED ACTION NOW !!!!!
Never re-visit the word Witch Hunting when the time of accountability is due.
