Former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur has asked the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to put aside their differences and ‘protect the interest of our people’.
According to him, in order to protect the interest of Ghanaians, the party need to ensure that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) fulfil all its promises.
“The NDC must continue to champion the agenda of the people of this country...we have to protect the interest of our people. I have been told that they (NPP) have made 170 promises. They have to ensure that all those 170 promises are fulfilled so the people of Ghana can also benefit from the work that they came to do” he said.
Speaking at a rally at Ashaiman on Saturday 10 June as part of the 25th anniversary of the NDC, the former Vice President added: “the 2016 election is over and it is important for us to move on because the agenda of the Ghanaian people is important. We must unite our people so that we can work together combining all strengths and attributes of the people in the NDC so that we can work for the good of this country.”
Meanwhile, Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu, speaking at the same event has urged supporters of the NDC not to give up on the party but rather focus on coming together to snatch power from the NPP in 2020.
“Let’s all put 2016 behind us and stop the babbling as to what accounted for the defeat of the NDC. Let’s focus on the future, let’s unite and resolve to take the battle to the NPP in 2020 and beyond and restore and recapture political power”

See this use*ess economist. He can now comment and count the number of promises but cannot answer a single economics question put to him by Alhaji Bawumia. NDC for heaven sake, don't disturb Ghana. You have nothing good to offer just to steal and amass wealth.
ONAAAAAAAPO FORMER VICE
For the npp that's what they are good at. calling names and insults. all this will amount to nothing. mark my words. npp will surfer heavy defeat in 2020. For now they could achieve nothing in corporate Ghana, and the days are going in and coming out. please be informed you've already lost the 2020 elections period.
PLEASE KINDLY TELL AMISSAH TO STOP TALKING SINCE HE CANNOT STAND THE BOOOM COMING AFTER ALL HE COULD NOT SUPPLY COMMON CHALK WHAT A BIG DISGRACE HE WAS NOT ABLE TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS GIVEN TO HIM?HE IS A DISGRACE TO OUR PARTY.
Interesting. Mr. former Vice-President, infact politics can be some way. You were not able to answer a single question posed to you by Dr. Bawumia. Now that you are in opposition after losing successfully, you have suddenly found your voice to talk. Hahaahaaaa!!!!
Wrestle political power indeed! Do you think Ghanaians have so soon forgotten the mess your John Mahama and his Create-Loot-and-Share brigade visited on the nation? Coming back to power? Don't even dream about it!
Yes after you answer Bawumia's questions
look at the pot calling the kettle black. hehehehe but @ MOKO, YOU MESS ROUGH HEHEHEHEHEHEHE
A congregation of th13ves ,murderers, punks low-lives and all that is unholy in this motherland. Why is the NDC such a magnet for all the undesirables in our society? When they talk of seeking the interest of Ghanaians I laugh. When has this party ever sought the interest of Ghanaians?John Mahama left empty coffers and when people with knowledge try to raise money on the bond market they run to the US simply to try and sabotage the party in power . Ghanaians be steadfast ..Make sure these r0bbers NEVER COME BACK TO POWER.
empty head, what promises are you talking about. you messed up at the bank of Ghana and was a washout at the presidency. hogwash.
