Things have already started heating up in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with just some months to its constituency, regional and national elections.
Various persons have started disclosing their intention to contest for one position or the other.
Wednesday’s edition of the Publisher indicated that former Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama in the Ashanti Region, Henry Kwabena Kokofu will be challenging Bernard Antwi Boasiako for the Chairmanship position in the Ashanti Region.
According to him, he was in his final stage of consultation to enable him make a formal announcement on his desire to contest the position in the region.
However, Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as ‘Chairman Wontumi’, the incumbent Chairman in the region says the former MP stands no chance of winning.
"With the numerous projects I have done in the region, my relationship with the people and so on, he (Kokofu) does not stand a chance of winning. I am going unopposed” he indicated during an interview on Okay FM’s Adekye Abia, Wednesday.
