Audio Attachment: Listen to Kofi Adams |
National Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has responded to Dr. Samia Nkrumah's claims that the NDC is pretending to support her farther just to score political points.
He described her comments as 'unfortunate' and claimed “Samia is not the only child of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah so she can say what she wants to say”.
The National Democratic Congress supporters hit the streets in a walk to commemorate the Founder’s Day and the birthday of Ghana’s first President – but the NDC were described as “opportunists” by Nkrumah’s daughter.
According to Dr. Samia Nkrumah, the NDC cannot be shouting and preaching her father’s ideologies when they are in opposition only to implement brute capitalist policies when they are in power – “that is hypocritical”.
Until recently, the Founder’s Day holiday instituted by the late president John Evans Atta Mills has been celebrated without any controversy.
However, a proposal by President Nana Akufo-Addo to introduce a new Founders Day on August 4, to acknowledge the contributions of all others in the independent struggle has sent tongues wagging.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’, Mr. Kofi Adams said “Some of Nkrumah’s children are in support of the NDC so we don’t care if Samia is against us”.
“Issues concerning Dr. Kwame Nkrumah are not about his close family, it’s about, Ghana, Africa and beyond. Kwame Nkrumah is not even about CPP or NDC alone. Nkrumah goes beyond Samia. We will fight for his legacies. The NDC is not perturbed about what Samia is saying”.
"We Will continue to honour and celebrate Dr. Kwame Nkrumah whether Samia likes it ir not," he added.

Samia is right and they (ndc) knows they are just being opportunistic here. they just want to have some platform to make noise and confuse their followers. Since we started celebrating this founder's day they never thought of anything like this bcos they were the govt in power and never thought a day like this will come. when ghanaians are busy celebrating the day they are in their offices using pen and paper to s..teal millions of dollars. they see the day as an opportunity to s.t..eal bcos we were busy celebrating. but today they thought otherwise. they are even disgracing Nkrumah by associating themselves with him. Nkrumah and ndc are like the two sides of the coin. Nkrumah on one side and ndc on the other. Nkrumah was a man of good heart who wants the best for this country whiles ndc is full of evil men and women who always come and wreck the nation and go back. Nana pls jail these ple before u loose my support and vote. my patience is running out. jail them and lets see if they will be organizing thesestp11d walks in th prison. we are watching
OH Adam where are you , you cant share with some ones father ,i know how you guys undermine cpp to form your party if you guys love kwame nkrumah all this wouldnt have happened.
Samia does not even have to be the only daughter of the late Dr bKwame Nkrumah before speaking the truth about the present day NDC leadership. NDC current leadership does not even care about Ghana for them to claim their love for Dr Nkrumah. The type of corrupt practices committed by them are so subversive that these can even cause the total collapse of our country Ghana.
hypocrisy opportunism everywhere Enhoy yourselves From the days of slavery through colonialism todate Bunch of cheap comedians Real amusement free of charge Kofi Adams Nee Nkrumah Live show supported by his elephants band !!
Samia does not need to be CPP in order to have genuine love for Nkrumah. Many of the NDC and even some CPPs like Kwesi Pratt has no love for Nkruma. They only exploit the name of Nkrumah to make political noisessss. Nkrumah was a good man. He has good intention for Ghana and Africa but he was destroyed by the people who surrounded him. They mislead him to make self-destructive policies which destroyed most of the good social and pyusical structures he established for Ghana. Today we still have the same manipulatorsss, who use the name of Nkrumah to exploit simple minded people. Nkrumah was not corrupt like NDC through Millsand Mahama regimes. Nkrumah did not create loot and share. Many Ghanaians jubilated at the overthrown of Nkrumah because the people who surrounded Nkrumah exploited his achievements to aaaabuse power to become corrupttt and loot the nation. It is very demeaning for Nkrumah to be identified with NDC. It makes Nkrumah, corrupt, vissionless and tribalistic. But we all know that Nkrumah was none of these. Shame to NDC, they have no credentials but corruption. Samia is very much aware of this and so she denounces any attempt by NDC to identify with Nkrumah. Nobody understand the intellectual and reasoning state of NDC. Ghana which was called Gold Coast was not founded at independence. Ghana was founded by Europeans putting Fantes, Ashantis, Gas and Ewes, Northerners and others together as a colony. Perhaps All Ghana would have Existed as Ashanti and others small states if the British had not colonised the region together. Now at some points in time these amalgamated indigenous people demanded for concessions for fair and better treatment and eventually for self rule which started before Nkrumah was born. Nkrumah was brought to join the leadership group fighting for self rule at a point in time. It is individuals who has no senseee in logic, lack wisdom of history and ability to follow and grasp the sequence of event would suggest that Nkrumah founded Ghana. He play a key role at his time and lead his party CPP to attain independence. The ignorance of NDC is reveal in the fact that the seem not to understand attainment of independence and founding a nation. the two are not the same. To found a nation is to create a nation from. To attain independence is to attain a self rule from colonial master who rule over an existing nation. In fact it is true that de3 owo okwaseaaa ombr3 s3 de3 otete no. NDCfuo mmo ma y3br3 wo Ghana dodo. We waste so much time talking and debating on ***barred word*** arguments. Moagyimieee dodo. Momma yenwene and move forward to build the nation. Nkrumah will be happy to see a Ghana economically and socially well built than to be drawn into uselesss senseleees debates. Samia knows this so she does not allow herself to be drawn into NDC shamefullll politics of create loot and share. NDC only get into such ardument to confused the people in their propaganda and senselesss argument just to divert attention from their corruptionnnn and incompetenceeee.
there is no doubt ndc is just trying to be relevant. they dont want their party to die like cpp. so they have decided to take the shine from cpp and they only way to describe them is that they are "OPPORTUNISTS" period. If you are denying the fact that your small party was founded by one man (the only Papa J) then how can you say that Nkrumah was the only person that founded a whole nation? how is that even possible. I do believe Nkrumah was working with some ple. I never doubted the fact that he was a great man and a good leader but that doesnt make him to be the only person involved in the struggle. when you (ndc members) accept the fact that ndc was founded by Rawlings then you can come back and argue again that only Nkrumah founded Ghana. blockheaded ple
K. Adams, with all honesty can you tell the whole world the founder of your NDC? Even the ndc people alone are not sure who their founder is; how much more a whole nation
Please for your father's birthday and celebrate it if he is worth that much .
Crying more than nkrumah's children. Hmmm
Eih!!! Kosi Adams, are your u even Ghanaian?!? Insulting the daughter of the man that Ndc has decided to worshiped to stay in the political scene. Look, if Nkrumah were alive today he wouldn't even fart at you let alone acknowledge the P/NDC!
