The Special Prosecutor nominee, Martin Amidu on Tuesday caused uproar when he appeared before Parliament's Appointment Committee.
Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa wanted to know why he wrote the ages of his children instead of their number.
In response he said "honestly, I was going to say no child" because 'they are adults".
According to him, once they are adults, he has no obligation or responsibility over them; hence they are "not my children"
“I have no responsibility for these people. So, as far as I’m concerned, they are not my children. If you go to the UK and tamper with anybody of this age, you will go to jail. So it’s because of the ambiguity of the question that I put those names there but my family matters are private.”
Some members of the Committee tried to explain to him to accept that the three are his children no matter their ages; however he insisted that they are not his children, adding that "is my his opinion".

AMIDU SP AKA WATCHMAN FOR GHANA MONEY OOOOO
The question didn't ask you of your dependents. Your children are children regardless of their age.In the USA,children who are over 19 and provide more than half of their own support are not regarded as qualified children for Tax dependency purpose but doesn't mean they cease to be your biological and legal children

KUDOS, MAN. THESE ARE POSITIVE SIGNS OF A STERN FIGHTER. MORE GREASE TO YOUR ELBOW
Hehehe. You see how stubborn he is? That is why the NDC don't want him there. He cannot be coerced, threatened, cajoled to change his position. If he decides to investigate you for corruption, you better hope and pray that you are innocent. Hahaha. Finally, Ghana is going to rid itself of corrupt public officials
my friend we are not in UK please in Ghana our children are our children weather adults or not they are our children.
