Martin Amidu has reiterated his commitment to execute his official duties as Special Prosecutor without partisan political play.
According to him, "crime is crime" and his pursuit is to reduce corruption to the minimal level.
He made it emphatic before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 that he will not condone any corruptible practices.
He asserted that no individual will be spared if he/she is caught wobbling in corruption.
"Political party cash must not be an assurance against crime and that is it. Period!"
He touted himself as the "man in the arena who has muddied himself" and will go all length and breadth to fight fervently against corruption in the country.
"At least I'm trying. It is not for those who are not trying to criticize but it is the one who has muddied, bloodied and dirtied himself in pursuit of a higher object who takes the credit", he stressed.

Fighting corruption is not a window shopping. It is not one man's job. It is a collective effort. It involves the right infrastructure in place in terms of technology, detective and forensic work. It involves experts in accounting and law enforcement. Finally it involves the collective will of all whether to come forward with evidence or not. Looking at the corrupt culture of Ghana, It is going to be a miracle if this guy succeeds at what he claims to do. He is in for a rude awakening. How do you fight corruption when everyone is corrupt. We are yet to see.
