Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako has rubbished claims of insecurity in the country.
Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme on Wednesday, Kweku Baako stated that the tag that Ghana has been rendered insecure particularly by the recent spate of armed robberies is a bogus argument.
According to him, the security in the country has not been breached and so it is a mere misrepresentation for any person to argue about the national security and deceive Ghanaians into thinking that the Akufo-Addo administration has made the country a haven for robbers and other criminals.
Kweku Baako expressed confidence in the Akufo-Addo government to handle the security issues.
He wondered how some Members of Parliament, political figures and critics would go at length to say there's insecurity in the country when "they have been gallivanting in discos and hotels with their girlfriends. I see some, they and their girlfriends".
"They were on radio saying that they don’t feel secured. They didn’t come with a Policeman when coming to the radio station, no security protection. The evening, I see them at the chop bar, beer bar sitting and drinking with the girls and their wives. Their children are going to school unprotected”, he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.

Now we know u don't want us to say the country is insecure, we will say it everyday, anytime and every time we feel unsafe.if u want go hang yourself.
It is shameful Kwaku Baako is saying this and any one who has been a victim of or whose relative has been a victim of armed robbery in recent times won't take these comments lightly. It is an insult to make such comments on the backdrop that people have lost their lives in incidents of armed robbery. It shows a lack of understanding of the security situation we face and whilst it will be convenient for Kwaku baako to tow the line of his paymasters by defending what is clearly indefensible I have one thing to say to Kwaku baako: the rain does not fall on one tree. Because he has not been visited by these brutish robbers does not mean their threat is not real. An inspector was buried last week when in ,rambo-style, robbers broke in and freed their fellow robbers who were kept in lawful custody. In the process they dispatched the poor inspector to join his ancestors, leaving behind a widow and children. In another incident, robbers attacked a Lebanese who had gone to withdraw money to pay the salaries of his workers in broad daylight and brutally killed him and made away with GHC200k. In a similar incident, robbers struck Royal Motors and made away with their sales for the day with shocked staff looking on.At north karneshie a young man was robbed right in the thick of traffic by gun-wielding robbers on motor bikes in broad day light as shocked passers by helplessly looked on. How about the countless forex bureaus and mobile money operators who get robbed everyday and some of them shot in the process? A mother of three ,on her way home, had her bag snatched from her and stabbed to death as well. And so many I can not enumerate here because of space and time . So in the light of these how can one refuse to see that we currently have security issues in this country? Why was there a shake-up in the top brass of the police force in the country recently? How can an old man like kwaku baako sell his conscience by denying the atrocities suffered by innocent victims as a result of the current security challenges in the country? How many more incidents of robberies does he want to happen before he admits we are facing security challenges in the country? His remarks are insulting not only to the security forces who are adopting measures to curb the menace. They are insulting to the many security experts in the country who have added their voices to addressing the canker and deeply insulting to the victims who either lost lives or properties! It is about time this old ***barred word*** who behaves like he knows everything but in essence knows next to nothing ***barred word*** for good! Must we play politics with everything that happens in this country? We don't care who is in power. We don't feel safe and we want to be safe as we go about our lives. We don't wanna be left guessing who is gonna be the next victim of armed robbery. That is all we are asking and it is not asking too much. For kwaku baako he can bow his bald head in shame for taking a stand of convenience instead of a stand of truth. He and his position are irrelevant!
Mr. Baako you really amaze me defending the govt on this issue of insecurity - what at all does the NPP pay you. Even if you are given special protection hence you feel safe, at least show some sympathy for those who have lost lives and property through these armed robberies - please have some conscience.
Baako don't waste your breath on these ndc nincompoops n scallywags......they r only itching to come back n loot n rape Ghana again but God is not like an alata man as my grandmother would say.
Kwaku for now is save. He should wait when he is visited by arm robbers. I know Akuffo Addo is giving him 24 hours protection.
but you kweku baako koraa, what is ya problem, why cant you tell nana to move hamid so you be appointed communication minister or presidential spokesperson better still government defendant or NPP media director. we are not kids here in Ghana ok, and you not the only wise man in Ghana. every issue in Ghana you wanna be the only person we should all listen to , why?. so if things are bad and good or bad ppl are reporting, cant they have that democratic right to do so?. let them say anything so far as its but of governance, not illegal and once the president and his team takes it, they will map up plans to solve it if its true and if not, they can also tell us bcx is armed robbery not rampant these days, so should we only allow kweku baako to rubbi.sh it?, masa its true, Ghana is insecured but i know it is better than the NDC time but nana must at least do something more so we as a party and he is a president can protect the people and properties in the country. if your critic always say and you solve, arent you getter better if you were good, arent you getting best if you were better. so if we listen to them and even half way solve it, can they have message for 2020. you were the same kweku who was 60% mahama and 40% nana, you a hypocrite, ppl like you if we listen to most often, we shall be in opposition again. i wish we as a party will listen to ourselves and the good people not ppl like kweku baako
It is easy to say all of this rub-bish. When Nana Addo and Bawumia were shouting in opposition that times were hard weren't they eating with their wives and girlfriends? When you point a finger at someone look how many are pointing at you.
If you are not a ***barred word*** will you call yourself Labadi. God has seen you. Hypocrites
Massa Kweku Baako ; Well said !!!!!!; these minority politicians are just hypocrates; thiffs and nation wreckers ; their last weapon 'security assasination' to undermine Nana Addo's government is been dismantled and they have nothing more to say ; how about that MP who sleeps with his fellow lady MP at that hotel at Achimota ; Please NDC stop your cheap politics .
