A representative of the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom, John Hayward, has questioned the rationale behind the extravagance exhibited in the organization of the New Patriotic Party’s National Delegates Conference.
Delivering his solidarity message at the conference in Koforidua, John Hayward said he was shocked at the many posters that had flooded the congress grounds.
"I have walked through and I can see the many posters that have flooded the grounds," he said.
Is it a prudent use of resources, emphasizing that per his experience, voters prefer political parties which focus on the needs and development of the people.
"Voters are less keen on parties but focus more on the internal issues of the parties. We hope that the NPP can reach out more to the people," he noted.
He said the NPP is treading on slippery grounds with respect to the use of resources and advised that it rather invests in the lives of the many poverty stricken Ghanaians.
About 6,000 members of the governing New Patriotic Party have converged on the campus of the Koforidua Technical University in the Eastern Region to elect their national executives as the party hosts its National Delegates Conference.
Over 40 members of the party are seeking to occupy various executive positions in the party to lead the party for the next four years.
Positions to be contested are National Chairperson,First, Second and Third, General Secretary, National Treasurer and National Organiser.
Others include, National Women Organiser, National Youth Organiser and National Nasara Coordinator.

Wow, what a contest. to be fair, indeed elections are significant to all even in the UK. I think one should pay close attention to his words. Has the party disclosed how much was spent on this election alone ? It will be very interesting to know how much each individual spent in this election. I do hope the message he made shall go towards the actual function of the party and actually our party people in government. Let us now think about improving the country with COMMON SENSE AND DECORUM
Eric, i strongly share your view. I am equally so disappointed in Nana Addo. It is as though he forgot where he came from immediately he got power. He seems not to even care about Ghana rather putting his Part first. I can see that Ghana is doomed. Now, education and competence dont matter anymore but all one need to be appointed or even be given job even in public institution is to be know as a party boy or Girl. It is sad that we dont want to think any longer beyond Party politics. i Pity the poor Ghanaians who are refusing to see that now all one need to have his or her way is a Party card.
Please, please check what you write for public consumption, former British Prime Minister Mr John Major was nowhere in Ghana. Do not sit in your bedroom and write stories. You cant even spell Major, shame on you the writer.
I did not know that these people i have always trusted will do the right things can display such unwise opulence that will on equip their bitter opponent to use against them. What was these billboards for? Are we so dump not to see untill somebody tells you? You have all of sudden become like school boys who don't want to learn. You only displaying the folly that sent the NDC to opposition, why? Don't you people have the fear of God in you? If indeed the battle is the Lords why this flamboyant display of opulence. I thought you are wiser than the others but you have proved me wrong.Your Excellency, Nana Addo, i wept for you not to lead above reproach. why won't call for prayers so that your policies will succeed rather than calling on God to enable you win again in 2020. Don't know that your success will hinges on your performance. I personally had soo much confidence in your abilities but you are proving me wrong. Everybody knew things were not being done well that is the reason why we voted massively for you. Wake up, please.
What a shame?! Peace fm, up your game. You claim to have the best in your fold..... and this? Waaaooooo!!!

Who the HELL Do YOU THINK YOU ARE.HOW MUCH RESOURCE S DID YOU PERSONALLY CONTRIBUTE TO THE RURAL FOLKS DURING YOUR TENURE OF OFFICE..POSTERS ARE INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY AND NOT THE POLITICAL PARTY . IN UK DONT YOU CORRUPT POLITICIAN SPEND MILLIONS IN YOUR CAMPAIGN.
Prime Minister you are right. Just misusing the resources meant for development. No jobs for the people.
