Sammy Gyamfi, a leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team has hit hard on the government over the double-track system.
To him, the problems being faced by the nation’s second cycle educational structure is as a result of “lack of foresight, lack of proper planning and lack of proper consultation”.
“…we saw all these problems from day one. When Free SHS was declared but these people referred to us as Nation wreckers so let me ask, if you need a rocket scientist to tell you addition infrustrature would be need should we rollout this Free SHS” he said on UTV’s Adekye Nsroma.
Sammy Gyamfi who is contesting for the National Communications Officer position further stated that the actions and inactions of government questions its commitment to the Free Senior High School Policy.
He made these assertions during a panel discussion on challenges being faced as the time table of the enrollment of the Free SHS policy.
Parents are reported to have besieged the offices of the Ghana Education Service (GES) across the country to solve placement issues of their wards.

Indeed Adjoa, it is a question of infrastructure as Bernard pointed out. That is the issue- Infrastructure - buildings and accommodations and size classes etc. Rather than pretending you built schools NDC, why don't you also pretend you built accommodation to go along with it. Let stop playing with politics and start praying for Positive Change in Ghana Kenya is miles ahead of us. In fact, let us not vote for politicians because of the money they give us- lets vote for their brains and hearts. Africa it is time to Rise. Enough is Enough in this blessed country !!!
The typical Ghana Man who needs to be heard and is being paid to talk. In Ghana we have a negative, jealous attitude about everything- We like to sit on people's progress !! Yet we all want to drive Pajero and Land Cruiser- Who born You. This nation is largely negative. What is soo negative about getting everyone to School. Please lets quit the ***barred word*** silly politics we are doing with people's destiny. Instead of appealing and helping to get ideas and positivity flowing for this Very Positive Agenda- is just being rubbished. Put your education aside and put your heart on the line. Take a risk Please anyone pouring negativity should desist and check their hearts- If you decide to do the right thing resources and help pour in from every where. This programme is in the early stages, rather than getting funds and support from any positive source to achieve the dream - What is the National Dream for Education !! we just like to talk much ado on the radio about nothing!!!!! If you don't want the man next door to go to school then don't pray again cause Jesus wont hear your prayers !!!! Ridiculous.
If you ask me, There is wisdom in implementing programme and addressing the challenges as and when they arising. In two years of implementing the free SHS the enrolment has increase by 276,000 students. The argument of infrastructure, what would have become the 276,000 kids of ours? let us think about that.
truth hurt if not what the young man is saying is the real issue but as suaul npp and thir insults seriously speaking our education system is under U turn THE TRESIDENT MUST WAKE U or else he will go down as de werst president ever in de history of ghana
@larry Dogbe & Blessings, WHAT LIES DID YOU BUY? WHAT IS WRONG WITH CHALLENGES IN IMPLEMENTING A PROGRAMME. CHALLENGES MAKE PROGRAMMES REAL. WE DON'T NEED FREE EDUCATION IN 20 YEARS. WE NEED IT NOW FOR OUR YOUNG ONES TO HELP BUILD THE NATION. CHINA THAT AFRICA IS RUNNING TO WITH CUPS IN HAND, IS IT NOT DUE TO THE KNOWLEDGE THEY HAVE IN DOING THINGS? LISTEN TO THAT TODDLER SAMMY GYAMFI: "“…we saw all these problems from day one". WHAT IS WRONG WITH ENCOUNTERING PROBLEMS? THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT WE SOLVE AND OVERCOME THESE PROBLEMS - THAT IS ALL. AND THAT IS WHAT NDC LACKS. THEY CAN BUILD INFRASTRUCTURE BUT CANNOT THINK THROUGH HOW TO IMPLEMENT A DOUBLE TRACK SYSTEM. YES PREPARE FAKE CONTRACTS, SHARE SOME 30% OUT OF THE PRICE,SUCH THAT THE LIKES OF APPIAH STADIUM WHO ARE IDLE AND TALKING CAN OWN LAND CRUISERS. THEY JUST PUT A STRUCTURE THERE AND COMMISSION - THIS IS ALL THAT NDC KNOWS. MARK MY WORDS: OTHER COUNTRIES WILL FOLLOW GHANA'S PATH.....
Keep dreaming. Just like NDC were booted out so NPP who won 2016 elections on the wings of lies will also be booted out. At lest NDC told us the truth but we bought into your (NPP) lies and today nothing is working. Keep tickling yourself and laugh thinking the worst of NPP is better NDC. 2020 is just here.
What is his solutions to this problems, Build infrastructure ? Many kids will wait till NDC finished building infrastructures in 20-30-50 years after lining their pockets then their will build infrastructures for kids to go to School.Ghanaian beware of NDC and NEVER bring them back to power cos he worst NPP governments is the best NDC government.
I don't know wy people listen to this I d o hit in Ghana'....
