Member of Parliament for the Odododiodoo Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye has stated that the six flagbearer hopefuls contesting former President John Dramani Mahama will not get more than eight percent [8%] of the total valid votes cast should they be given the mandate to print the ballot papers themselves.
According to him, the six aspirants are always murmuring and creating their own news for media consumption because they know they will not attain any respectable votes, but they are just there to create controversy in the party.
“This six altogether will not attain more than 8% of the total votes cast even if Alban Bagbin become the Electoral Commissioner, Goosie Tanoh Returning Officer, elections held in Sylvester Mensah’s room, Professor Joshua Alabi counts the ballot papers and any other of the six participates in the voting processes,” he stated.
The former Sports Minister said he gets peeved when matters of the party come to the public domain.
“This is an in-house affair and I expect them to have used the properly laid down party processes to resolve these issues and not run to the media when the media cannot dictate to us [NDC],” he stressed.
He told UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme that, he personally listened to the National Chairman of the party, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo explaining that the party has not received any petition as claimed by the six aspirants that they are not happy with how the ballot papers for the Presidential primaries are being printed.
“I am not saying it is a done deal for one person, but the other presidential aspirants know the best and should adhere to that, coming to the media to pour their hearts out will not solve their problem,” Nii Lante Vanderpuye advised.

why worrying about mahama's return. he's winning.
And so your advice too should have been an in-house one, isn't it?
It was loose and unmeasured comments like these from NDC functionaries like this ones that made some of us deny them our votes. Loose talker
Mathew 7:5 is a must read for you and your incompetent Bobolibo gang. Why are you not happy with the Ayawaso register? THE SIX GOOD MEN has rattled your rigging plot. If Mahama will win then change tue NDC register .
SO WOULD YOU NEED THEIR SUPPORT AFTER THE ELECTION?
NII LANTE VANDERPUYE RESPONSE TO THE SIX ASPIRANTS FOR NDC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IS IRRESPONSIBLE. THE SIX SUPPORTED THEIR COMPLAINTS WITH THE PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED DURING THE RECENT NDC EXECUTIVES ELECTIONS. IF VANDERPUYE THINKS HE HAS ANY ALTERNATIVE TO THE REQUEST IT WOULD BE MATURE FOR HIM TO DO THAT. WHAT THE SIX CANDIDATE WOULD GET IN THE ELECTION IS IMMATERIAL. WHAT MATTERS IS THAT THE RIGHT THING MUST BE DONE. TO RIDICULE THE SIX MARKS A GREAT DISRESPECT TO SIX AND DUE ELECTORAL PROCESS.
you make categorical statement at one point and back track at a later time in your submission. you said the six cant get more than 8% and subsequently said 'i am not saying is a done deal for one candidate'. do ur own maths and build the logic. i doubt why people still have confidence that mahamah can win again. even rawlings, after he had left could not have won again if he had possibly come back. same applies to JA kuffour. so mahamah dreamers should re-think
