The minority members in Parliament have decided to stage a walk-out anytime new Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Lydia Alhassan stands up to contribute on the floor of Parliament.
The minority staged a walk out on Tuesday when Madam Lydia Alhassan who took over from her late husband Kyeremanteng Agyarko was being sworn in.
Speaking to the issue in an interview on Citi Eyewitness news, Ras Mubarak, Member of Parliament for the Kumbungu said the violence that led to her victory in the election makes her a ‘beneficiary of a flawed system’ and hence they cannot recognise her as an MP.
According to him, "since we don’t recognise her, anytime she has an opportunity to speak on the floor of parliament, we will turn a blind eye or simply walk out. Obviously, we can’t sack her from the chamber of the house and we have within us every democratic right and opportunity to demonstrate our unhappiness. There are a lot of things that are available to us…”

What is your use in parliament apart from ex-gratia. You are still incompetent even in opposition.
this same guy lead a team to carry a ballot box at Darkuman and Odorkor during the 2012 elections when he lost at the constituency and was sent to odorkor police station. its sad that anybody who can insult can be an MP in Ghana. Its about time we accept highly educated people who can speak sense on issues to the house. ow dare you vomit that when the tax payers money is used in paying you. This minority is weak and shadow minded because behind every successful government is a great Opposition party not what we seeing here now. Gbagbin must be allowed to lead so we have a little levelheaded people. the Cable boy RAS a law maker?....smh gh
You ***barred word*** Mubarak, continue tickling yourself. Do you know that when traveling to your hometown and constituency you will pass through Lydia Alhassan's home district, Central Gonja District? A word to the wise.......... Thank you.
So this one with zebra face can discriminate against real human?
Walk out anytime she speaks is not enough. Boycott all Committees she serves on! You can even leave Parliament and boycott 2020.
Lydia made Mrs Agyarko unhappy in her marriage. She deserves this and more. Agyarko never married her so which husband of hers is dead? If you have children with a man, are you his wife? tsweeeew
already you dont make any meaningful contributions on the floor of parliament so your absent will not be felt you are there just because some seats have to be occupied that is all
And who cares about your walkout?
ANOTHER FUULLL AND ATTENTION SEEKER.
