The National Democratic Congress [NDC], constituency Chairman for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Bismark Ayittey Aborbi says members of his party in the constituency will never recognize Lydia Seyram Alhassan as their MP even though the laws of the land have given her the mandate represent them.
According to the constituency Chairman, they cannot be ruled by a leader whose election was not peaceful, fair and had brutalities.
“Why is she [Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan] worried when she knows she is not a widow, we can be referring to anybody per the tag on the placards ‘bloody widow’, what at all shows the minority in parliament were refereeing to her per those inscriptions on their placards,” he said.
Mr. Ayittey Aborbi who spoke on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ newspaper discussion segment asked members of the majority in parliament to stop being hypocrites as they have all been involved in those acts before, specifically when they were in opposition.
“Brandishing placards in parliament is not a new thing to do in the house, until the current parliament agrees to abolish this norm. NPP should know that no one sows beans and harvest maize, therefore their past actions will at every time be repeated against them,” he said.
