The Member of Parliament, MP, for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak has joined numerous calls asking for the resignation of the Inspector General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu.
According to him, looking at the numerous unanswered questions surrounding the violence at Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election, he should honourably resign.
“I think the IGP would do the honourable thing and tender his resignation because his continuous stay as IGP has become very untenable, especially in the light of conflicting report between the police and National Security,” he said on the Citi Eyewitness News on Friday.
The NDC has been calling for the head of the IGP after the police indicated that they were not aware of how their vehicles and guns got in the hands of some questionable National Security operatives.
A former Chief of Staff, Nana Ato Dadzie has also called for the resignation of the IGP.
Mr Ato Dadzie said: “The Inspector General of Police, as a matter of personal honour and principle, must resign his office for entertaining the violation and abuse of his command by the intrusion of an unconstitutional paramilitary force. The transportation of the offending persons in official vehicles of the Ghana Police Service, and their display of branded gear of the same, reaffirms this demand. The same must be said of the sad spectacle of helplessness and the non-intervention of senior police officers at the scene”.

Who elected these STU-P-ID NDC MP's especially this one, he is not suit for this MP job. NEXT TIME NDC PEOPLE SHOULD ELECT SMART PEOPLE, NOT THIS NON-SE-NSE PEOPLE WITH NO BRAINS FUNCTION IN THEIR HEAD. WHENEVER I SEE THIS BOY I WANT TO VOMIT.
hahaha Ras, he neds not resign ooh, he must be jailed. a clear evidence of unskilled, ill timed appointed and akyem mafia appointment. if we in a country IGP cant know who holds armoury and anybody can use the police SWAT car and gadgets, such isnt IGP, such must be jailed and such must be charge with attempt to overthrown a constitutional president or the constitution. imagine they over did what they were told and like their anger on the judge in Kumasi, they made an extension to the president while they were armed, what would have happened in Ghana. i hope next time, IGP and chief of defence staff must also be voted for in general election. we tired of akyem appointees disappointing the president and the country
He wont resign today or tomorrow. What will you do.
Look at him. When somebody lost his eye because of a simple dome, you did not ask the then IGP to resign. He will NEVER resign today or tomorrow! NDC is bitter because their plans were TOTALLY defeated by NPP. SHAME, NDC!
Look at another loose talker.Direct your questions to the incompetent one.
They are f00*00ls who never ever thought Ghana didn't belong to them so are still shocked by their defeat and behaving like wounded lions, they will rot in opposition!
NDC wasting thier time on irrelevant things you havent even elected a candidate
