Mr Stephen Ashitey Adjei, Executive Member of the Tema East Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Stephen Ashitey Adjei has accused former President John Mahama of silently executing a plan to ensure that the NDC does not win the 2020 elections.
“The old actions have returned, the former President refuses to mingle with delegates when he meets them, he refuses to take questions from them,” Moshake said.
Speaking at a News Conference in Accra Mr. Ashitey Adjei, who is popularly called Moshake, said the former President was re-enacting some of the things that caused massive apathy among pro-NDC voters that led to the NDC’s massive loss in 2016.
He said the former President’s actions were reminding the delegates of the neglect that they suffered under his Presidency from 2012 to 2016, “and this does not augur well for the process that everybody else is pursuing to get us in the party to move on from that painful past and close our ranks again.”
He said his failure to take questions from delegates during his campaign tour was not helping as that could have helped him to convince some of the voters that were still recovering from the 2016 election shock.
“He does not take questions from the delegates that he meets and he does not even talk about their welfare,” Moshake lamented.
He said a couple of weeks ago, some delegates in Prestea Huni Valley were said to have been stranded after meeting the former President there because they had travelled from far places to the meeting place, but had been left to their fate after the meeting.
He said what was more disturbing was the fact that the former President was not taking questions from the delegates who were usually eager to ask the former President about measures he would put in place to ensure victory and all-inclusiveness.
He said all other candidates in the race for the 2020 flagbearership were speaking about new strategies, but the former President apart from attacking some of the policies of the NPP government were not able to come out with new ideas.

The man is simply incompetent. He has no message for the delegates and does not have any for the country. In 2012, he campaigned on edey bee k3k3, same as 2016 and rubbishing whatever Nana and NPP put across. The next message he has developed is Boot for Boot which his own party has started practising for 2020 via the Kumasi shoot out that has taken one person's life. Please delegates, do the nation a favour by NOT voting this incompetent man to lead you. That way, Ghana will be safe for all of us to live in. A word to the wise is......... I rest my case.
Garbage in garbage out. Windmill or no windmill life will be the same. NDC has not learned anything from their 2016 defeat. Mahamah or no Mahamah NDC will still loose in 2020. I'm not hearing any new ideas from any of the candidates. Also, it seems the party leadership for reasons known to them have crowned Mahamah already and of no help to level the playing field equally for the rest of the candidates. The leadership should be impartial but this not the case. They're bent on taking the same dead horse to the race course insisting the dead horse is their ONLY BEST chance. The value will be the same because the man is labelled opportunist, corrupt and incompetent. Nothing has changed so why will the expect a different result?
THIS JM GUY HAS NOTHING TO OFFER EXCEPT VIOLENCE AND INSULTS
