The introduction and implementation of ‘Planting For Food And Jobs’ initiative has always been believed to be the brainchild or birthright of the Nana Akufo-Addo government, but a former Minister in the erstwhile John Mahama government claims the policy was funded by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Stopping short of explicitly saying the NDC administration started the ‘Planting For Food and Job’ policy, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, a former Minister of Information and Communication, said that “obviously the source of funding has been that which the NDC administration provided”.
Pontificating on Radio Gold’s 'Alhaji and Alhaji' talk show, Dr Omane Boamah wondered why even after the NPP's predecessor (NDC) provided funding for the ‘Planting For Food and Jobs’, the Akufo-Addo administration still cannot ensure the fruition of the program, but is rather ‘shouting on the roof tops for a bumper harvest' in the area of plantain farming.
“They talk about planting for food and jobs and that obviously the source of funding has been that which the NDC administration provided. But you see, how can you grow corn then you go shouting on the roof tops clapping for yourself if you reap pineapple?” he wondered.
He asserted that the NPP administration led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has diverted the funds meant for ‘Planting for Food and Job’ to focus only on plantain which is just an aspect of the whole program, leaving the rest of the program to collapse; making the entire program unsuccessful.
“We heard them the last time, shouting over the roof tops that plantain, we have had a bumper harvest and so that meant that planting for food and jobs had worked; meanwhile they had never told us that they were investing ‘planting for food and jobs’ money in the area of plantain”.
The Medical Practitioner expressed repulsion therefore at the "level of arrogance and insensitivity" shown by the Akufo-Addo government towards "a simple caution by the Minority" in Parliament that the economy was moving in the wrong direction.
"A simple issue and questions were asked and these questions, one would have expected that the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia who asked over 170 questions, majority of which were useless questions would have had the presence of mind and the humility to address just five," he slammed.

What incoherent tosh is this man waffling?
The best from of compliment is when your political opponent is scrambling, maddeningly tumbling over themselves to claim your policies as their own, because of its monumental success. Omane Boamah has done well but next time he should not use this circuitous route to shower praise on the NPP for a good job done.
Madddness at its peak......only thing left is for them to strip N_A_K_E_D. We shall soon get there so can properly label them and put all them at the psychiatric hospital. At least credit us with some small intelligence because not all of us are ***barred word***-S.
Omane Boamah, what do you take Ghanaians for? ***barred word***?!! Dream on!
What did you just say ? Say no to Tramadol
