The former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs says if politicians especially his party and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) don't put the needs of Ghanaians above theirs, they will experience 'voter apathy' in election 2020.
He bemoaned the politicization of every issue in the country and the fact that there is so much talk but no action.
"We should be serious as a nation and as political leaders; . . . there seem to be a political failure. People are saying they don’t see any difference between NPP and NDC; because when serious issues are at stake instead of interrogating it thoroughly, we politicize it; NPP, NDC: Ghanaians are worried. Ghana has become a noisy nation. We don’t know where we are heading to and if care is not taken in 2020 there will be voter apathy affecting both parties," he said.
