Kweku Baako Jnr has disclosed how ‘party elements’ are sabotaging President Akufo-Addo’s galamsey fight.
The Managing Editor for the New Crusading Guide newspaper who was speaking on Joy Newsfile programme, Saturday said even though there have been some successes with the fight, “it is being challenged by party elements who sell the concessions…”
He bemoaned how “some people who have been given the responsibility to work (under the ruling government) are not doing it and they have decided to target people who they think are worrying them…”
“President John Mahama launched a galamsey campaign; he didn’t succeed for various reasons. President Akufo-Addo has launched another one; very spirit…it’s a mixture of positives and negatives; some of the negatives are happening because of people within the system: it won’t take too long but everybody will know the truth.”
“The fight against galamsey under the Akufo-Addo administration; the machinery that has been put there; if I had my own way, I would not have party elements embedded in the fight. If I were to advise, I will urge that they take out party elements from the machinery. They are all over the place,” he said.

Kwaku Baako the noose is now tightening around your neck.
Has this government been successful with with the fight? You where all part of the reason why this fight has not been successful with any government.
Yet you keep touting the government is not corrupt. Hmmmm
this man is gradually losing credibility. even when the operation vanguard was there, he was not speaking like this. you know u're more corrupt than the politicians. chief blackmailer!!!
Kwaku do what you can. You are not helping the President per sey you are helping Ghana. You are not like some senior journalists. Your counsel is well known elsewhere in Ghana. Say it as it is.
Get away you are also part of the problem.
