Almost a month ago, one of the transmission towers near the Head office of Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) at Tema, fell over into another tower causing customers from Accra to Kumasi to face power outages.
Officials from GRIDCo came out linking the collapse of their pylon, to an act of vandalism rather than attempted theft and for this reason, warned the general public that they have adopted a shoot to kill measure against their saboteurs.
But the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has blamed former President Mahama for the mishap that brought darkness to some part of Ghana.
In a prayer said by the NPP chairman, he called on God to expose former President Mahama and his party executives when they hatch plans against the prosperity of Ghana. He also asked God to bless President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia and make Ghana a better place than all other African countries.
Full prayer below
Lord we give you glory and honour through Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that you would forget the sins of old of this nation. Our history teaches us that this is our heritage and our forefathers sacrificed their blood to set us free.
Through the covenant you had with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we pray that any innocent blood that was spilled and has contributed to the hardship we face be cleansed. We ask you that you establish a similar covenant you had with Israel with Ghana.
God, we ask that don’t look on for the destruction of Judah and Zion, please don’t keep your mouth shut. Speak for I know that when you, God, spoke, there was light where you wanted it to be.
Before you God, we bring Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo. Just like you selected David, you have chosen him as our President to lead us.
It is our prayer that when the NDC meet in secret and plot anything evil against our nation…if we do anything good, they speak against it and want to destroy it. We pray that anytime John Dramani Mahama, Johnson Aseidu Nketia, Ofosu Ampofo and Kweku Boahen go to their secret place in the bush to destroy electricity poles, avert such crimes.
We have suffered when it comes to dumsor in Ghana and God we want to remind you that it has always been the wish of the NDC that darkness hovers around Ghana but we pray that you take this wish away from us.
Initiatives like NABCO should receive your blessings and let good things that you have planted in Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia which led to the reduction in import duties remain perpetual.
Let Ghana rise above the other nations in Africa- this and many more blessings we ask in Jesus’ name- Amen!

a Christian always call evil for mahama.only satanic can do this.may u not say peace at ur old age
Governance is becoming a joke in my dear country. These antics shows there is a problem. The NPP is good at throwing such people on the street to to make statements that are unfounded to cover up their failures. An observation of the media space show that the NPP has resorted to absurd antics. From Wontumi to Nana B, Ken Agyapong to Abronye. Even Bawumia is talking as if he is still on the campaign trail but not in power. Folks there is a problem. Even NPP people are complaining. The supply side of economics is bad. There is no money circulation. Trust me SynoHydro will not change anything as the Chinese will continue to repatriate income even than before. They anticipate an windfall that is why they are reducing the high level of taxes they imposed on individuals and business to court sympathy. Please those taxes were imposed by this very government so there is no real reduction of taxes. They told us in opposition that the NDC has impose nuisance taxes and rightly so but they have done the same if not worse. Which asset are they now looking for the sell? They are running out of options. This shows they do have the men. This is why thety have resorted to these antic by their followers like Abronye and supported/ facilitated by their media gurus like Kwaku Baarko and Sefa Kayi. What Sefa Kayi did to Sammy Gyamfi was a classical antic, to aid his political pay masters. These political classes have nothing to offer us folks. We will have to get off our entrenched positions, wise up and tell all of them that we are not happy. That is what citizens do. In the UK at the moment, the government is about to call an election and the political class across board is shivering. The citizens are in charge now as it is clear that they are about to vote for small parties. Ukranians have voted for a political novice and shock waves are ringing in the whole of Europe. The Germans also sent a clear message only last year. We on the other hand are very attached to one political party even if we are hungry and we allow the politicians to count on our naivetyy to make foolls of us. Wontumi is just doing these antics as he has seen how disappointed people are in the government but will we send a clear message? I don't think so.
When ***barred word*** are speaking its clear in their actions.
Stop the stup1d1ty and advise you government to go check fire service. Ghana Fire Service is the most use1es5 and ineff1c1ent institution. Who should protect their fire hydrants for them? Who owns the fire hydrants? They mean they cannot work with the people to ensure that the hydrants are not covered? They mean they cannot fence the hydrants and keep people away from them. What a use1ess, sense1ess, lazy way of explaining this off inefficiency. One too many times they have come to Ghanaians crying they cannot find their fire hydrants. Who should keep their fire hydrants for them? What a country and we are satisfied?
the incarnations of an infantile ***barred word***
