Charles Owusu, Aide to the Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, has urged that the ruling government and the Electoral Commission not to brush off comments of former President John Dramani Mahama.
The former President has recently raised issues of insecurity in the country and has questioned the neutrality of the Electoral Commission.
“They need to prove us wrong. We have our doubts that they can be neutral and fair… the current posture and the way they are conducting things makes us doubt that they will be neutral and fair in 2020,” he said.
He has also has asked the Electoral Commission to publish details of its investigations into the hacking of its transmission system during the 2016 general elections.
According to him, Ghanaians deserve to know circumstances under which the EC’s system was compromised at the time.
Speaking to some of the issues raised by the former President on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo', Charles Owusu said: "the current EC should listen to some of the comments...as for the President, those around him will tell him that everything is going on smoothly because they want to preserve their job. I believe the same happened during Mahama...and so if the opposition parties are raising issues, they (government) should listen and pick a word or two...this yentie obia syndrome will not help anybody".

What hacking? has th Ec reported to anyone that it's computer were hacked? or is Mahama now the EC PRO aswell? Hearsay should not be legitimised by anyone! show them proof of hackin, and they will investigate ubtill then keep blaming others for your 2016 election defeat. your corruption and bad governace led to your defeat not hacking. read the kwesi Botchway report and ammend your ways or keep preparing for imminent defeat in 2020! At least now, Ibraham cannot be holding parties at the VVIP lounge at the Kotoka international Airport!
You are not making sense,Charlotte Osei should have been questioned by Mahama to brief him the alleged hacking.Computer systems hacking is not like financial statement which you can download and print at any given time. The person who was in charge when the alleged hacking happened is still in the country, they should call her to come account for that.As at now the alleged hacking is not still in the system.
People like Owusu are persons Ghana need to preserved, he is talking sense, and I think this npp family party should start to listen to Ghanaians.
