A Ugandan court has charged pop star turned leading opposition figure Bobi Wine with "annoying" President Yoweri Museveni, his lawyer told AFP.
The singer, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi, appeared in court on a prior treason charge after he and other opposition politicians allegedly stoned Museveni's convoy during a campaign rally in August last year.
Reacting to this, renowned journalist Kwami Sefa Kayi says Ghanaians should be thankful and appreciate the freedom enjoyed in the country.
"We should count ourselves blessed for the freedom we enjoy in this country," he said.

Former President Mahama is the reason why we as Ghanaians are enjoying the freedom Sefa is talking about,he as a president at that time endure everything, like by now President Nana should have been in jail,so credit should rather go to Mahama

Bobi wine and his group, as part of their organised activities on that the was to attack and disrupt the presidential convoy. They only managed to throw stones which damaged one presidential motor vehicle. Under the Ugandan law, it is a criminal case and in this instance, the leaders of those who organised this near fatality have to face charges. Bobi wine is not exceptional. Intelligence lead us to him.
