Our team has been gathering information on the scandal and assembled relevant documentation, which speaks to the extent of complicity by the Akufo Addo government”, the statement reads.
“NEC considering the information made available so far by the team and the enormous nature of the crime vis-a-vis the overreaching impact of the scandal on the economic fortunes of our country, and the need to provide stable, cheaper and reliable electricity for industrial and domestic use, has encouraged the team to continue the effort to get to the bottom of the stinking deal involving cronies and associates of Akufo Addo”, statement added.

NDC Puts Together Forensic Team To Look Into PDS Scandal
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the National Democratic Congress held a meeting yesterday 15th August to discuss among other things, issues bordering on the success of our Parliamentary Primaries and others of national interest.
Topical amongst the issues discussed was the status of our internal investigation into the PDS scandal and the way forward. The NDC had earlier on put together a strong team of financial forensic investigators and energy experts to thoroughly investigate this saga, and present a comprehensive report to the party to inform our position and further actions.
It was the view of the NEC that, the PDS scandal qualifies as the biggest state-led nepotistic economic heist in the history of this country, and for that matter must be subjected to intense scrutiny.
Our team has been gathering information on the scandal and assembled relevant documentation, which speaks to the extent of complicity by the Akufo Addo government.
NEC considering the information made available so far by the team and the enormous nature of the crime vis-a-vis the overreaching impact of the scandal on the economic fortunes of our country, and the need to provide stable, cheaper and reliable electricity for industrial and domestic use, has encouraged the team to continue the effort to get to the bottom of the stinking deal involving cronies and associates of Akufo Addo.
We maintain our stance on the complete loss of confidence in the ability of the NPP government and its hirelings in MiDA and ECG board to investigate thoroughly and impartially and bring to book perpetrators of the crime. The NPP government has demonstrated amply and consistently, a penchant to cover-up and whitewash criminal elements of wrongdoing. The Akufo Addo government by obscuring the truth and shielding criminal actions through the formation of ‘Kangaroo’ committees, especially where it involves the President, his family, friends and close Associates have betrayed the trust of the electorate.
We take this opportunity to invite Ghanaians who have vital information but have not disclosed such publicly to make contact with the party’s fact-finding team at the Office of the General Secretary.
The NDC wishes to emphasize its commitment to uncovering the perpetrators of this fraudulent attempt to shortchange the people of Ghana by fraudulently allocating to themselves shares in the PDS.
Our pursuit of the truth will be unrelenting and will under no circumstances countenance any bogus investigation by the discredited Akufo Addo administration.
Signed.
Comrade Johnson Asiedu Nketiah
General Secretary-NDC

Where is Mr. Rawlings in Ghana? If it were to NDC's Time, MR. Rawlings would have shouted; THIEFS, GREEDY BASTARDS, CORRUPTION. Please Mr.Rawlings We are waiting for your comment.
Akufo Addo and the npp are selling the country to their friends and families on the cheap, I urge Ghana youth to rise and fight for what is yours if not the corrupt politicians will take you for granted forever.
Is it because he has now obtained MSc? So he has formed a team "C" to investigate? Tweaaah!!!
The NDC "strong team of financial forensic investigators and energy experts" is made up of the following; Otokunor, Adongo, Amaliba, Chris Akumeh, Solomon Nkansah,Jinapor and Kweku Boahen. When they sleep and dream, it feels like reality to them. NDC is simply a joke. If they had a so called strong team of forensic experts, what did they go seeking at the US embassy with that petition?
Mr. Asiedu Nketia, stop this comic relief. This is not an internal party matter. This is a national matter and the country has its appropriate bodies mandated by the constitution to investigate matters concerning financial impropriety, fraud, criminal matters and other economic crimes. The best that your party can do is to petition the appropriate body to investigate. Certainly the citizens of this country are very much concerned about this PDS issue and would want to know what went wrong. The public is obliged to question some of the findings of the investgative if they are not satisfactory. Which part of the constitution gives powers to individual party to carry on such investigations? Please educate us. Can you imagine the confusion that will arise if various parties are to perform their own investigations?
