The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as 'Sir John' has debunked claims by the Builsa South constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Clement Apaak, that he is involved in trading rosewood.
According to the Forestry Commission boss, the sale of rosewood increased at the time the MP was at the helm of affairs.
"It was in the time of Apaak that rosewood export increased and so I don't know why he accusing us of exporting rosewood...if that was done in his time, in our time, it is different. it is never true that exportation of rosewood has increased in our time. he just wants to malign the ruling administration" he indicated in an interview on Peace FM.
Meanwhile, Dr Clement Apaak has threatened to sue Sir John for alleging that he was involved in the sale of rosewood.
"I will sue Sir John for defamation," he indicated.
