The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described as "tasteless and vague" the reaction from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding President Akufo-Addo’s briefing on corruption and the PDS scandal.

NPP General Secretary, John Boadu called out the misconceptions and misinformation from the opponents and believed if they would have revised their notes if they had taken time to review the President’s speech.

Addressing the media and scores of NPP supporters on Wednesday at the party’s headquarters, Mr Boadu said the Akufo-Addo-led government had demonstrated enough commitment to fighting corruption.

"The NDC’s speech was a tasteless and unappetizing soup full of innuendos and vague suppositions without solutions. The speech reflects their ethos and principles that have been rejected by the Ghanaian people.

"The passage of the RTI Bill and the establishment of the Office of the Special Prosecutor were stepping stones for the fight against the menace", he added.
