The NPP parliamentary candidate for Bantama, Francis Asenso-Boakye has donated shoe-making machines and other tools to thirty (30) selected local shoemakers in the Constituency.
This was in fulfillment of an earlier commitment to seek alternative assistance to train, support, and empower the shoemakers to be able to grow their businesses when he visited their workplaces some months ago.
Without a doubt, the informal sector contributes greatly towards the socio-economic development of the country, and Asenso-Boakye who has the well-being of the constituents at heart decided to support the thirty selected shoemakers with the shoe-making machines.
The beneficiaries had earlier undergone training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and leather works and were subsequently awarded certificates by the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI).
Mr. Asenso-Boakye who is also the Deputy Chief of Staff seized the opportunity to motivate the shoemakers and urged them to vote massively for the NPP for more development in the Constituency.
