The Vice President of IMANI Africa, Kofi Bentil has commended Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his composure in the midst of attacks from his opponents in the on-going NPP flagbearership race.
Dr. Bawumia has notably been a subject of relentless attacks by fellow aspirant, Kennedy Agyapong, but he has paid deafening silence.
Kofi Bentil praised Dr. Bawumia for his calmness describing his trait as a mark of good leadership.
"VP Bawumia’s calmness under attack is extremely commendable. No one has all the answers, we need such calm and focused leadership to succeed," he wrote on his Facebook page.

He will be a great PRESIDENT like President Kuffour, strong personality.
We're where we are today because we always focus on the trivial things as a people. What is exceptional or commendable about a man who's scheming to get position to keep quiet publicly but invites his people in camera to do the same things you've accusing his opponents of? And in any case, what has calmness got to do with competence and the ability to govern up to expectation? We have already given Bawumia a chance and he has showcase nothing more than what we detested as a nation. He has shown that he's not different from his boss, do we really desire a drastic positive change or we want the mediocre status quo to be maintained? What's wrong with us, see how even the so called educated are misconceiving things? Are we hypothesized or what?
Bawumia is best to lead, next to lead...he'll be a great leader if given the opportunity considering his track record.Tho he remains the greatest vice president in the history in the country,as vice he he's totally limited. He owns my vote!
Well said, unfortunately his advice to those supporting his presidential bid not to respond to attacks on him and themselves because of him have all fallen on deaf ears. Just listen to the banter between Kennedy Agyapong and Wontumi in the last 48 hours. Currently the NPP is at war with itself. Now it's a sitting NPP MP who is saying those in the current government are stealing Ghana's money like there is no tomorrow, today we are been told some 200,000 dollars of the taxpayers money was given to Wontumi, again we are hearing Bawumia is using state funds to campaign. All these are coming from NPP members oooo, not NDC. Am beginning to pity former president Kufuor and his appointees including renowned party stalwarts such as Professor Adu Boahen, Agyenim Boateng, B.K. Adama, R R Amponsah, C. K. Tedam, Peter Ala Adjetey, Odoi Sykes, Haruna Esseku, Safo Adu, J.A. Addison, among several others who did all they can to ensure the NPP was deeply rooted. They braced all odds by ensuring that the NPP was on the ground. They did all these because majority of the youth did not see the progress party government under Dr K. A. Busia because the last time they tasted power was between 1969-1972. It was not until 2001 that the NPP won power. Kufour came out with a lot of pro poor policies and made sure his government never left the party behind thus making the NPP brand attractive to the youth. Today all their efforts are being pulled down by self seeking, inward looking, Latter Day Saints, greedy, enthnocentric, empty pride, group of people who's interest is themselves not the larger NPP. They should continue shooting themselves in the foot and send the party to opposition. If they think they have accumulated enough, court attendance alone will send some of them to their sick beds very early. They are giving the NDC more than enough ammunition to fire in 2024. In fact the NDC is having a field day.
