Mr. Kofi Bentil, the Vice President of Imani Africa, has reposed confidence in the vice President Dr. Mahmud Bawumia, when he is elected as the President of Ghana come December, 2024.
According to Mr. Kofi Bentil, he has no doubt that Dr Bawumia will be a better president, hence needs to be given the opportunity.
Taking to his facebook wall, Lawyer Kofi Bentil, said “Every man deserves a fair hearing. We gave Prez Mahama a chance to be President, the least we can do is give Dr Bawumia a fair and objective hearing.
He is not President, and has never been President! I have no doubt he will be better! The VP position in Ghana, apart from standing in when the president is away (and he can’t make any serious decisions), it is totally powerless! he is like an advisor! There’s a good reason Kwame Nkrumah refused to have a Vice President!
“Indeed the Minister of finance has more constitutional power than the VP in managing our finances and the EMT has zero power to effect its decisions. They advise the President who acts through his ministers!”

I trust VP Bawumia. Because he has been the best VP ever. Even under trying circumstances he has shown himself not corrupt and indeed has been effective in delivering some crucial transformations.
I am entitled like everyone to my belief and choice and I believe he is a better choice.
All the rest of us need to do, is give the man a fair hearing. Of course you’re entitled to your choice but you cheat yourself if you close your ears.
My earlier post elicited a lot of responses many say that they tried this government and it failed them
And so they won’t do another trial.
The same people are advocating for someone who earlier failed and was rejected.
It’s amazing they can’t see the huge contradiction. That position is illogical when they advocate for JM.
You tried JM and Nana Addo and you claim They failed! DMB has not been tried and he has not failed as President!! So that logic falls flat.
By the trial logic. The person left is DMB. If you are
Not to return to the certified proven failure then Only DMB is qualified.
I am simply saying. Give the man a fair hearing. He is not Nana Addo. And he has been the best VP in Ghanas history.
In life we move forward, don’t go back!! especially to what you tried and failed when you have a fresh choice.
For me, Even if I will make a mistake I will
Make it going forward not backward.
Asalaam Aleikum. Shalom. Peace''

Bawumia is a concert party man. When the fundamentals are weak, the exchange rate will expose you. Please we haven’t forgotten this wonderful phrase. We will continue to remind him of his own words. He should explain to us why the dollar to a cedi is 12.3
@Kweku The Researcher, a whole researcher consistently avoiding the pertinent questions. I guess you're a researcher in Bawumiah's "irrelevant" office? Or I dare to say that you're one of the infamous "we have the men" 😂 By the way start bracing yourself for the imminent heaviest political defeat ever that Bawumia is about to suffer.
@ fake KTR. Listen and listen good. The writing was on the wall that Bawumia will become the next flagbearer of NPP. Ken and Akufu Addo had no option. with or without their support Bawumia was going to win the flag bearership race. The NPP delegates are decerning. its the same way the writing is clearly on the wall by 2025 Bawumia will be president of Ghana. Mahama can swallow a live cow he will never be president again. I am a government insider, and I can tell you on authority that all the good projects of this current government were the ideas of Bawumia. While all the failed ones were ideas of Ken. That is why Bawumia can take credit for the good things but can not be responsible for the bad ones. I remember on several occasions, Bawumia advised Ken against some of his decisions, such as e-levy. But as stubborn as Ken is, he refuses to listen to wisdom. Bawumia is clean at heart, honest and selfless. I can not wait to listen to him on the 7th of Feb
Ghana has a lot of intelligent technocrats who can change the state of our nation in no time if we had a selfless, incorruptible, practical, competent, honest leader providing direction for the nation. Our problem has always been the lack of such a leader with this strong a character. At this moment, we don't have any of such character from any the two main political parties very unfortunately. I prefer Mahama because while both him and Bawumia are or have the tendency to be corrupt, Mahama demonstrated a practical fight against corruption by prosecuting his appointees who were involved in scandals which led to the imprisonment of some of them. Under Nana Addo, the norm has been that all of them are cleared by him or they would be "vindicated". There has not been any practical fight demonstrated against corruption by this NPP government, only the deceptive impractical ways like bringing toothless special prosecutor, just a waste of our meagre resources. Secondly we know how Bawumia has spearhead a new trend of buying delegates conscience with a lot of money, we all know he wasn't particularly "wealthy" before becoming a VP, if if he was, it's very immoral to set that kind of precedence for the nation. How did he raise that money? If it was raised by government officials, then it's out money, if it was raised by external sponsors, what's their interest in Ghana? Either way, it's terrible, it's dangerous for now and the future and we should not trust such a person. Thirdly, he made a lot of noise in opposition and even in the early days of his government, when things became extremely terrible, what did he say? An honest person who was just a victim of circumstances or helpless about the situation would have felt the pains of the people and acted proactively. Ghanaians should not allow people to use misleading demeanor to lead us astray any more, we should have had enough of this.
@Kk, Ego,KTR etc. What does government official 1mean? How much was observed in this alleged scandal? I am not in support of any scandal or corruption from any person. My concern is that if that was true, why has Bawumia and his government not able to conclude the matter and make Mahama pay dearly for this after 8 years in government? If that scandal was ever true, then this government is more wicked and corrupt for letting it go. Again, a ***barred word*** is not only the caught, it includes the one who managed to escape with the stolen also. The valid question still remains, where did "Saint" Bawumia get several hundreds of millions to bribe 200,000 delegates?
@KTR, of course you and folks like you are expected to say things like this, because you'll not continue to receive your share of the booty if Bawumia loses. Are you telling us that Ken Ofori Atta is so evil that he's deliberately inflicting pains on Ghanaians when Dr. Bawumiah's suggestions could have saved the situation? Would that mean that Nana doesn't also have the country at heart for looking on unconcerned? But these two "evil" individuals defied all the odds to make Dr the flagbearer and are seriously rooting for him to win. On that note from this insider alone, credible and intelligent people should be worried about a candidate that "evil" men are doing whatever they to make him a president.

Dasoorrrrr!
@Boakye, you are very funny guy. Have you questioned Mahama about government official one?
'Oyiwa!'
