For the second time in a row, the cocaine case involving EXOPA CEO, Ibrahim Sima has been adjourned. No reasons were assigned for Mondays adjournment. The previous adjournment was said to be as a result of the absence of the trial judge.
Counsel for Sima, Mr James Agalga complained to Joy News in the wake of the last adjournment that the rights of his client were being unnecessarily violated by the persistent dragging of the case. He hoped todays hearing would come off so his clients case would be heard but that has not happened.
Sima was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport on the night of Monday, 7th September 2009, during departure formalities with tubers of yam containing substances suspected to be cocaine. He has since been denied bail but will reappear on October 21, 2009.
