Shatta has revealed that the upcoming album has 22 tracks on it and that three are already out for public consumption.

The musician said he produced 18 of the songs on the album and that he would be the only musician performing at the album launch.

“We are working on another album that would probably launch in December. But that would be an international album because I am getting calls from all over and there are people who want to work with me. I have spoken to Wizkid, I have spoken to D’Bang and a couple of artistes. We want to go to the States and feature one main artiste; we want to go to Jamaica as well so we do not leave out the dancehall thing,” he added.

Checks showed that tonight’s concert would be preceded by a documentary of Shatta Wale’s life and ‘grass to grace’ career.

The album title, ‘After The Storm’, is suggestive of how Shatta Wale’s music career triumphed and blossomed after he went through challenging trials.

He started as a struggling musician with the stage name, ‘Bandana’ and after a decade of toils, he rebranded himself as ‘Shatta Wale’ and professed himself as ‘Dancehall King’. Through his handwork and tenacity, Shatta Wale truly became the king of a huge and extremely influential music empire, SM for Life, with ‘SM’ having several meanings including ‘Shatta Movement’, ‘Survival Movement’ and ‘Super Scary Movement’.

SM has become a national movement with its leader, Shatta, being the musician with the biggest audience appeal and popularity in the country now.

Shatta Wale has become a ‘god’ in the music industry and has an ultra-loyal fan base across the country. In recent times, his management has worked hard to fine-tune his brand image in a positive and refreshing style that is converting his critics into his defenders.
