Fast-rising Afropop singer, eShun has described her performance on stage with music legend, Yvonne Chaka Chaka at the African Legends Night as a humbling experience and a huge honour.

In an interview with Showbiz on Tuesday, eShun whose performance of the song, African Woman together with Yvonne Chaka Chaka was among the most memorable on the night said she was still in shock from the entire experience.

eShun revealed to Showbiz that the performance was unrehearsed since Yvonne only asked her to perform together after watching her go through the sound check on the morning of the event.

“On the morning of the event, I had gone to the auditorium of the State House to finalise my sound check when I met Yvonne who was also there to do same. I introduced myself to her and we spoke for a while. After I was done rehearsing, I was on my way out when she sent a representative to call me back and we selected a song together,” she said.

eShun described Yvonne Chaka Chaka as an amazing person and someone she looks up to in terms of music and longevity in the industry.

“Considering the fact that initially, I was not even billed to perform yet I had the chance to mount the stage with a legend like Yvonne, it means I am also destined to be a legend as well”, she said.

eShun said after communicating with Yvonne via Twitter after the event, Yvonne expressed her willingness to work on a record with her. She asked her fans to keep their fingers crossed and to expect a collaboration soon.
