Sessemi, afro pop music icon from Benin will on Friday, March 22, 2013, perform at the Alliance Fran�aise in Accra as part of activities marking the 2013 edition of Festival de la Francophonie.
The artiste, who has worked her way into the hearts of music lovers with compelling performances, has defined the contours of a racy style midway between the rich traditions of Benin, jazz, classical and rock.
A winner of various awards, she has appeared on diverse stages including Africa Festival, Festival of Rhythms for Women, Tina Faaliye in Togo, Waga Hip Hop Festival, Atypical Koudougou, Festival Sinksen and Kortrijk Maish in Belgium.
Most of her songs are in traditional languages such as Fon and Yoruba making her a true cultural ambassador of Benin and Africa as a whole. Nonetheless, some of her songs are also in French and English.
A powerful performer, the new star of afro pop rock with a sublime voice, strong and captivating energy confirms day by day her talent as a singer, dancer and an artiste with the sky as her limit.
