There's no doubt that Hollywood sets high standards for beauty. Living in the spotlight, celebrities' looks are constantly scrutinized. As a result of the pressure to always look "perfect," many wind up getting plastic surgery.
But Jennifer Aniston, who went makeup-free for her 2014 film Cake, said she refused to give in to that pressure.
In an interview last year with Bobbi Brown, the 46-year-old said, "I am not injecting sh*t into my face." And now, in another interview, Brown pressed her to comment further on the issue.
Here's how Aniston responded:
Not only is it OK, it's better [not to get injections]. It just doesn't help. It's a slippery, slippery slope. [Some people] just start to lose perspective, it's their new normal, so it's a hard one to come back from.
But what has allowed her to get this kind of perspective in such a tough industry?
I don't feel much different than I felt in my 20s, except I feel physically better. I also love myself more. That's the most beautiful thing that reflects out is inner confidence and inner sort of love.
Now that's what we like to hear!
