Sarkodie recently lit up the O2 Arena in London with an electric hour long show.

The rapper was in bullish mood after the show, clearly believing that the performance at the world renowned O2 had put him on an unprecedented level in Ghana music at the moment.

Speaking to the BBC after the show, Sarkodie attempted to put down all his naysayers in the industry in Ghana.

“Today I want to challenge anybody who is still doubting that it’s going to be Sarkodie in the next two or three or four, five years, ten, eleven until I choose not to.”

Sarkodie went on to say that rap can be a challenging game because it contains people with big egos all jostling for success.

“I believe most rappers; because hiphop is based on ego; tend to fight the fact that people want to push you down and try and make you feel that you can’t be here tomorrow, like you’re hitting for today, this is your time by the next two years you not going to make it.

“And it begins to make you nervous, you believe in yourself but you kind of like get what they are saying in a way like you are not going to have this for long; but then I did not even come out to be just one of the artistes; I was the artist when I came out as Sarkodie.”
