Popular Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has dispelled rumours suggesting that he has been paid by the ruling NDC government to support President Mahama ahead of the general polls.
“I have not taken one cedi from the party…I would never take money for what I do. I have never taken any money from the government and I would never take money from the government,” he told Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday.
The famous Ghanaian actor who is a sympathizer of the Mahama-led administration said his support for the NDC party is borne out of love and not for money.
“He [Mahama] is performing, I travel to other African countries and…when I come to Ghana, despite the challenges there is development,” he said, adding Mahama must be retained in the November polls.
