Ghanaian boxer, Braimah Kamoko alias Bukom Banku has announced his intention to run for the Presidency in 2020 on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The 37-year-old boxer who suffered the first loss of his career last year to Bastie Samir, claims the presidency is not about literacy but about once physical strength.
Speaking with Amewugah Evans, Sports host on SVTV Africa, the comic boxer said he will only run on the National Democratic Congress(NDC) ticket and not the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because he is a member of the former.
Banku lost his unbeaten record to Bastie “The Beast” Samir on October 21 by TKO in round seven of their cruiserweight bout at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Banku entered the bout on the back of a 29-bout winning run could not stand the power of his younger opponent and twice visited the canvas during the bout.
