Charterhouse, organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, has called on Patapaa to apologize for his claim that the board took a bribe to cheat him out of winning the most popular song of the year award.
According to PRO George Quaye, Patapaa should provide evidence of his assertion or apologize to the organization for tarnishing their image.
In the aftermath of the VGMAs an angry Patapaa lashed out at Charterhouse, claiming they had taken a bribe to give his rightful award to Fancy Gadam.
However, Quaye said the singer should walk back his claim and apologize to Charterhouse.
“If Patapaa has an evidence of us taking money from any nominee, he should release else he should apologise to the board, academy and the general public for that comment,” he told ZionFelix in an interview.
“We will release the votes very soon so that we all see how everybody performed on the night. It is a very unfortunate statement from him.”

George Quaye and your charter whatever, stop bullying people who complain about the seemingly eneptitudes that keep happening year in year out. The same musicians properties is what gives you content for your show. Address issues and stop issuing threats and insults to people who have issues with your dealings. What system are u guys operating? I was just stunned when kwasi Aboagye too told patience nyarko to make sure to “see” the so called board and academy members, then she can win an award. Waaaa..., asem wei? Artistes should focus on making good music and forget this Charterhouse people. They give it to their “own” people they like. It’s not people’s votes. It’s who the academy and the board like, that win awards. People should stop wasting their credit cos it’s afore decided.
I have never heard of Fancy whatever, but even Chris Brown (US) has danced to ONE CORNER and footage is on ***barred word***. This VGMA is questionable, I mean, "Highlife Song of the Year - ‘Odo’ by Kidi", "Highlife Artiste of the Year - Kuami Eugene" and "Best New Artiste of the Year - Kuami Eugene." So the "Highlife Artiste of the Year" and "Best New Artiste of the Year" is NOT the one who sang "Highlife Song of the Year"? That certainly does not add up. Patapaa's ONE CORNER is no doubt 2017/18 most popular song of the year. The VGMA Board should bow their heads in shame.
PATAPA DOES NOT NEED VOTE TO WIN. ONE CORNER WAS 2017'S MOST POPULAR SONG
